ChiliIrishHammock24
Young dominates tonight. 6 IP, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K Nick Ciolli went 3/5 with a HR and 7 RBI. Wow. Thompson went 0/2, but had 3 BB. Morel went 3/5 with a 3B. AVG up to .324. Damn it feels good to be a gangster.
Quin
What logic did they use in getting McCulloch in the first round?

Springfield Soxfan
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 25, 2010 -> 09:51 PM) What logic did they use in getting McCulloch in the first round? It was either in the College World Series or the regionals, he pitched against another first rounder pick who had better stuff and beat him, Schaefer then fell in love with him, terrible draft pick, did not have potential form the start. Hello overdraft.
SoxAce
Nice start for Santiago. Had to pull a Tony Pena and start in one of the double headers.

Springfield Soxfan
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Aug 25, 2010 -> 10:39 PM) I hope I've seen the last of him. Agreed, chalk it up to a bust and move on. Same kind of career as Wyatt Allen, had high hopes.......fizzle........
NorthSideSox72
So... Dylan Axelrod. He's too old to be splitting between AA and A+ (turned 25 this season), but his numbers have been all around great since coming to the Sox during 2009. 2009 between A- and A+ was very good, same this year between A+ and AA. 2-range ERA's, very nice K:BB ratios. Is he a prospect of any note? Anyone know anything about his stuff (I Googled, didn't find much)? I'm kind of surprised, with his performance and age, that he hasn't been promoted faster. I saw him when he made his one home start with Birmingham. Nothing seemed outstanding, average stuff. He did attack the strike zone. Oddly shaped fellow, kind of stocky in the midsection. One was a road game. I think his fastball was around 91-92. Can't recall his other pitches. Like I said though, it was all just average at best.
