zenryan
Virginia Tech lays an egg. Losing isnt bad but they got rolled. Every year they cry about being left out so it's really nice to see them get smoked against a good team.
RockRaines
Ran you off your own court Donovan. Aaron Craft single-handedly embarrassed that full court press, even a guy draped on him most of the game.

LittleHurt05
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 17, 2010 -> 10:06 AM) So, initial predictions on the ACC/Big Ten Challenge? I think this is finally the time for the B10 to shine. I'm no expert on the ACC, but here goes my early picks: Virgina @ MINN: Gophers Iowa @ WF: Wake Forest (I hope no one has to watch this one) GT @ NW: Northwestern OSU @ FSU: Buckeyes (they already have one big road win in Florida) Michigan @ Clemson: Clemson UNC @ Illinois: Illinois (great matchup, home court gives Illini the edge, plus I'm a homer) Indiana @ BC: Boston College (not sure how good/bad they are, give it to them at home) NC State @ Wisconsin: Badgers Purdue @ Va Tech: Purdue (Find out of they are real w/o Hummel) Maryland @ Penn State: Maryland MSU @ Duke: Duke (Toss-up) That would put it at 6-5 Big Ten again. Most of them seem to be pretty close matchups overall, so a few could go either way. Again, I don't know all that much about the ACC, so I may be giving some of these teams too much/little credit. chimpy2121
Virgina @ MINN: Minnesota Iowa @ WF: Iowa I don't know anything about Iowa, but WF is garbage. GT @ NW: Northwestern OSU @ FSU: OSU This might get ugly. Michigan @ Clemson: Michigan UNC @ Illinois: Illinois Indiana @ BC: Boston College NC State @ Wisconsin: Wisconsin NC State has some good freshmen though. Purdue @ Va Tech: Va Tech Maryland @ Penn State: Maryland MSU @ Duke: Duke It's a down year again for the ACC.

Iowa's new coach seems solid but they just don't have much talent at all.

Buehrle>Wood
Preseason NIT it looking pitiful. Villanova, UCLA, Tennessee, and Wake were the 1, 2, 3, and 4 seeds respectively. Wake got blown out in their regional final to 5 seed VCU, who advanced to New York. UT struggled a ton with Belmont in the regional semi. I'm guessing they should fall to 6 seed Missouri State before New York. ESPN probably wants to kill someone if that happens.

At least VCU has some national exposure. They've had some decent teams in the past few years and a couple players in Maynor and Sanders. It also gives the remaining field a good underdog to root for at the Garden.
danman31
What's the Big Ten gonna do when they add Nebraska? This year is probably the Big Ten's last chance to win the challenge because Nebraska won't ever win a game.
