I think I'm a little light in RB, but I'm hoping Rice takes care of that. It may bite me in the ass, but I took Rice with the 2nd pick over CJ2K. I think CJ2K will have a good year, but I don't think it will be a repeat of last year. I'm hoping Rice outscores him with this being a PPR league. Only time will tell if I'm kicking myself in the ass at the end of the year. Arian Foster is the starter in Houston and I think he can bring some decent RB2 points in that offense. Very happy with my receivers. Primed for a repeat championship in my league. :)

Rivers, Philip - Quarterback - SDC

Rice, Ray - Running Back - BAL

Foster, Arian - Running Back - HOU

Austin, Miles - Wide Receiver - DAL

Johnson, Calvin - Wide Receiver - DET

Celek, Brent - Tight End - PHI

Rackers, Neil - Kicker - HOU

Eagles - Defense - PHI

Bench

Bradshaw, Ahmad - Running Back - NYG

McFadden, Darren - Running Back - OAK

Brown, Donald - Running Back - IND

Sims-Walker, Mike - Wide Receiver - JAC

Breaston, Steve - Wide Receiver - ARI

Wallace, Mike - Wide Receiver - PIT

Sanchez, Mark - Quarterback - NYJ

Scheffler, Tony - Tight End - DET

Chargers - Defense - SDC

Kasay, John - Kicker - CAR

Quite deep at WR, wallace and sims-walker are both good #3s. I'd probably drop scheffler (unless it's a huge, deep league) as I never carry a backup TE - maybe pickup a deep sleeper RB to replace him?

Also, I love Rice this year but even still I probably wouldn't have taken him over CJ. Might have outsmarted yourself that one, in my opinion, but it's not like Rice is chopped liver so it won't make or break you.

Wait a minute? WTF? You had the second overall pick or do you mean your second pick? If you had the second overall pick and took Rice over Johnson then I'm puttin' a hit on your ass.

Need advice on a trade.

I'm in a pretty hardcore fantasy keeper league, and was just offered an interesting deal.

Currently, my WR is sick at Andre Johnson, Larry Fitz, and Hines Ward, with Wes Welker on my bench. BTW, to acquire Andre and Fitz, it took a few years of sucking, so thats how it happened.

Anyway, I just got offered a very intersting trade. Right now my TE is Owen Daniels, and with him being limited to 10-15 plays in the first few weeks, I would like a little more stability at the position.

I was just offered Sidney Rice and Visaanthe Shiancoe for Wes Welker. With my depth, I feel like I could get away with some risk, which is what this trade obviously is.

No chance I'd give Welker up for those two. Rice may not even play this year, and if he does he probably won't be 100%. Even though its a keeper league, Rice's value is inherently tied to Farve - and who knows if he'll play next year. Shiancoe vs. Daniels is pretty much a wash, if Daniels is healthy this year. I'm sure you could get a better offer for welker if you're in the market to trade him, especially once the season starts and he proves he can play.

Honestly I'd try to move Ward before Welker. Ward is getting up there in age, Steelers OLine is a mess and Ben is out for at least 4 games.

I'll leave you guys with a question of my own as well:

Keeper league (can only keep players drafted outside of the 1st 3 rounds - can keep for one year only), 12 team, 0.5 ppr, 6 pt of all TDs.

Who would you keep? P. Thomas (4th rd), R Bush (9th rd), Carson Palmer (10th rd).

Then, who would you draft at #4 overall (knowing R.Rice is being kept, and assuming CJ, AP, and MJD go 1-2-3): Gore or Andre Johnson?

I'm leaning toward keeping Pierre and drafting Andre - but I keep flip-flopping in my mind as I think it's better value to keep Bush and give up the 9th rder. I'd probably draft Gore if I kept Bush.

Just wait until after the season for your hit. Yes it was a huge risk, but I think Rice will outperform CJ this year in ppr leagues. Time will tell.

What does everyone think? I think my WR's are the weakest obviously but everyone has a weakness (which is why I took Rice and more WR's with big potential) - love the depth with Rapelisberger and Owen Daniels, personally

QB- Phillip Rivers

RB - Rashard Mendenhall (Round 13 Keeper)

RB - Michael Turner

Flex - Jonathan Stewart

WR - Steve Smith - NYG (Round 12 Keeper)

WR - Steve Smith - Panthers (yes I got both)

WR - Percy Harvin

TE - Antonio Gates

K - Dan Carpenter

DEF - Jets

Bench

QB - Ben Roethlisberger

RB - LaDainian Tomlinson

WR - Mike Wallace

WR - Devin Thomas

WR - Sidney Rice (took him in the 15th, I will just keep him next year maybe since I got him so late)

TE - Owen Daniels

K - Matt Bryant

DEF - Broncos (only took them because they play the Raiders during the Jets bye)

I think Mike Wallace could have breakout year when Big Ben comes back....that should shore up your WR.

Here's a team I drafted today - 14 team league, 0.5pt ppr, 6 pts for all TDs. Had #6 overall pick.

QB: Cutler

RB: Gore

RB: Grant

WR: Jennings

WR: Welker

WR: Bowe

TE: Carlson

Bench: Barber, M. Bush, Jacobs, Naanee, Big Ben, McNabb.

Concerned Cutler is gonna crap the bed, hence the extra qbs. Would have liked another decent #3/#4 type WR for depth but missed out. Very happy w/my RB situation. Imagine I'll try to package one of the qbs w/an rb for a decent WR (pref. #2/#3 caliber). Probably once Ben returns from suspension.

Love Gore this year. You're a little light on WR, but if Welker holds up you'll be fine....Hopefully you can flip one of your Rb's for insurance...I think you're gonna need all the QB's you have and play the matchup game. Good luck!

Ya, I think the best combo you can do is Andre-Thomas.

Following up on this, as I went Andre then Pierre, here's the results of my draft....think it's the worst team I've fielded yet.

Again, 6pts for all TDs, 0.5 per reception

QB: Cassel, Roethlisberger

RB: P Thomas, Forte, F Jones, D Sproles, B Scott

WR: A Johnson, G Jennings, S Smith (CAR), J Maclin, L Robinson

TE: Celek

DST: Dolphins

K: Akers

Mistakes

- Taking Big Ben over Eli or McNabb. Really wanted Ben and knew he wouldn't get back to me. Was hoping I'd get McNabb on the way back to cover me the first 4 weeks but was gone by the time I picked. Hopefully I can tread water w/Cassel and waiver qbs (maybe bradford? he's got a favorable schedule) until Ben is back.

- Minor one, but I think I should have taken Ryan Grant over Jennings in the 2nd round. I'm really bullish Jennings this year though, so hope he doesn't make me look like an idiot (I think I own him in 3 leagues).

- Not taking a 3rd RB sooner. Have to hope for a breakout from Felix Jones or an injury if I'm to have any depth.

Will probably look to trade a WR for an RB at some point if Thomas and Forte don't pan out. Even if they do, the depth would be nice. Will also likely need to trade a #4/#5 wr for a backup qb as early help/ben insurance.

I did a 12 team league with 2 qbs, auction style.

You can get depth if you're smart, but not a lot of great guys without overpaying.

CBS LEAGUE (12 team, 3 wr, no flex, 5 bench)

QB- Joe Flacco

RB- Steven Jackson

RB- Jamaal Charles

WR- Anquan Boldin

WR- Hakeem Nicks

WR- Mike Sims-Walker

TE- Owen Daniels

K- Jeff Reed

DST- Chargers

Bench

QB- Ben Roethisberger

RB- Justin Forsett

RB- Donald Brown

WR- Robert Meachem

TE- Greg Olsen (grabbed him incase Daniels doesn't play much in the first few weeks)

I'm pretty happy with how this team turned out, especially if Forsett is the #1 back in Seattle, which he should be, then my depth at RB will make up for my lack of depth at WR

ESPN LEAGUE (12 team, rb/wr Flex, 7 bench):

QB-Peyton Manning

RB- DeAngelo Williams

RB- Cedric Benson

WR- Roddy White

WR- Donald Driver

Flex- Justin Forsett

TE- Tony Gonzalez

DST- New Orleans

K- *didn't draft one*

Bench

WR- Vincent Jackson

WR- Santonio Holmes

WR- Hines Ward

WR- Nate Burleson

QB- Matt Moore

RB- Ladainian Tomlinson

RB- Laurence Moroney

TE- Jeremy Shockey

I'm not extremely excited about this team, but it's a really competitive and active keeper-league with deep benches, so there's plenty of trades to be made. I went deep on my bench with WR because Vincent Jackson and Santonio Holmes both won't be starting the season with their teams, but they could be good towards the playoffs.

This is my first year playing FF. I'm in two leagues, one for money. This money league is made up entirely of first year FF players, all of us close old high school buds. It was a fun/interesting live draft... (someone took P.Manning/Brady for 1/2 picks)....

12 team, 2RB, 2WR, 1 RB/WR Flex, 6pts all TDs

2nd overall pick:

Starters:

QB: Eli Manning

RB: Adrian Peterson

RB: Jahvid Best/Justin Forsett

WR: Miles Austin

WR: Roddy White

Flex: Hakeem Nicks/Forsett/Best

TE: Zack Miller

DST: Denver

K: Garret Hartley

Bench:

RB: Michael Bush

RB: Toby Gerhart

WR: Mike Wallace

WR: Jacoby Jones

TE: Jermain Gresham

QB: Donovan McNabb

What do you guys think? I couldn't pass on Austin/White Rnds 2/3, especially with Grant/Green/Mendenhall/Matthews already gone.

QB: Aaron Rodgers

RB: Shonn Greene

RB: Ryan Mathews

Team D: New York Jets

Bench:

My QBs really suck. I'm hoping I can survive with these three based on match ups. I really feel like Stafford and Megatron are going to destroy the Bears. On the fence about who to start in the flex spot.

I hope you didn't have him on your bench. I drafted him and started him in all 3 of my leagues. Paid off. ARIAN NATION.
