fathom
Blackburn's retired 15 in a row vs Seattle, and seemingly on about 30 pitches. 1-0 thru 6 for Twins.
ChiliIrishHammock24
Well, in this Twins game so far, Thome and Hudson have both left with injuries. Thome's was a strained back, and Hudson's was a sprained ankle. Both are day-to-day I believe.
longshot7
QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 01:36 PM) Anyone know the Sox' record against CC? Sabathia is 15-4 lifetime vs the Sox.

It's like they're not even using real baseball bats. Everything comes off their bats so softly.
ChiliIrishHammock24
At least Jose Lopez appears to be trying at 3B.

CWSOX45
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 03:53 PM) It's like they're not even using real baseball bats. Everything comes off their bats so softly. I may complain about the White Sox offense from time to time, but after watching these degenerates try to score a run, I can honestly say they are the worst offensive team I have seen in a long time. ChiliIrishHammock24
Shaun White is good at snow boarding, skateboarding, surfing, and apparently baseball. I'll take it!

Seattle's offense makes me appreciate ours. Hell, Mark Kotsay would be one of their more dangerous hitters.

LittleHurt05
From 2001-2008, Ichiro scored at least 100 runs in every season. In 2009, he missed 16 games, but still scored 88. He is on pace to score a whopping 75 this season. His OBP is .363 which is below his career average (.377), but he has had worse seasons, so its not like hes not getting on base. I think its his 2-4 hitters that are to blame.
CWSOX45
What a horse shat call. This ump has had a larger strike zone for the mariners hitters all game. Not that it really matters... Edited August 28, 2010 by CWSOX45
fathom
21 in a row retired for Blackburn, including no hits since 1st inning. At least Ichiro will be up in the 9th.
CWSOX45
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 04:08 PM) 21 in a row retired for Blackburn, including no hits since 1st inning. At least Ichiro will be up in the 9th. This may be true, unfortunately there's probably a less than 10% chance that anyone else would get a hit even if he were to reach base. ChiliIrishHammock24
Brandon League looked pretty damn good. They just showed his post-ASB numbers, and he has a 0.42 ERA. Damn. 1 ER in 21 1/3 IP.
