justBLAZE
QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) Wonderful why do we play Kotsay at first over Konerko? Couldn't really do anything else there.

ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 07:51 PM) Um... that CLEARLY wasn't Kotsay's fault. Could have stretched further. Or could have just been better off getting the ball first and then playing the runner.
fathom
According to Terry Boers, Ozzie thinks Santos has completely run out of gas. They would have possibly shut him down if not for the other issues in the bullpen.
fathom
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 02:52 AM) Could have stretched further. Or could have just been better off getting the ball first and then playing the runner. He could have come off the base earlier and tried for the tag. The way he went about it, there was no way he was getting Marson out.

Harry Chappas
I am asking this honestly but the Sox seem to always run out of gas. This year and 2000 come to mind as well as either 2003 or 2004 when Esteban got torched in Minnesota.

Harry Chappas
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 09:00 PM) 2006 was the worst of all...the pitchers had nothing left in the tank by the end. ya but they won over 90 games and were beat by good teams....also as I was watching the 2005 post season I thought that would happen and was ok with it. I think it is more indicitive of the fact that sustained success results from a big money team and deep farm or in the Yanks case the ability to take on $$$ to get over the hump.
