He could have come off the base earlier and tried for the tag. The way he went about it, there was no way he was getting Marson out.

ya but they won over 90 games and were beat by good teams....also as I was watching the 2005 post season I thought that would happen and was ok with it. I think it is more indicitive of the fact that sustained success results from a big money team and deep farm or in the Yanks case the ability to take on $$$ to get over the hump.
