Rob Neyer: Before the season, I thought the Sox were the best team in their division. And while they shook my confidence for most of the first half, I never did quite give up on them. There can be 2 "real" teams in a division, but only 1 of them can win. Case in point -- the AL East, as Texsox pointed out. When they did, writers slapped themselves on the back. Then the Royals took first again, and suddenly it was 'oh no, they must be for real'.
