ChiliIrishHammock24
OMG the Tigers suck so bad! They took the lead in the top of the 11th inning. Then in the bottom of the 11th it is 1st and 2nd with 0 outs. Joe Mauer strikes out. 1 out. Then it's a DP ball to Inge. He bobbles the ball, tries to throw to 2nd, and it's a bad throw, the runners are all safe. So now it's bases loaded with 1 out. Next batter hits a perfect DP ball to 2B. Rhymes gets the ball, tries to go to 2B, but Santiago is standing on the base, blocking him. So he runs into Santiago, they fall down, and he barely gets the out at 2B, but the tying run scores. Blown save, and 9-9. Then the next batter hits a grounder to 2B and he makes the out thank god. Tigers are so terrrible. 2 perfect DP balls that could have ended the game, and they messed up BOTH of them. Now it's the top of the 12th. f***ING s***HEADS! ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (gatnom @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 10:43 PM) Maybe it's all part of their plan to tax the Twins' bullpen. Maybe not. Well, fortunately it's only the 13th inning, and Brian Duensing as already pitched and now it's Nick Blackburn in the pitch. Blackburn is scheduled to pitch tomorrow vs. Rangers. Matt Capps is their only reliever not used, but he is unavailable due to soreness. So at least the Tigers errors have messed with the Twins rotation now. ScottyDo
Woohoo! What an infuriating game from our perspective...could easily have been a Tigers sweep if they didn't choke, choke, choke. God, they sound like us vs. the Twins. Well, at least they took one and screwed up the Twins rotation, just as ours will be screwed up by rain. EDIT: Infuriating SERIES from our perspective, not game. ChiliIrishHammock24
Awesome, Twins lose, and they use up 3 of their starters in this game. Tigers could have easily swept, but at least we got a game closer. 3.5 :bringit

dmbjeff
it would be nice if we can get it to 2.5 after this weekend, twins get 3 vs the rangers, not an easy task, we get boston, not easy either, not sure how much baseball we will get in with the hurricane
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 3, 2010 -> 12:01 AM) Awesome, Twins lose, and they use up 3 of their starters in this game. Tigers could have easily swept, but at least we got a game closer. 3.5 :bringit This to me is as big as the result of the game. Not only might the Twins lose a starter for a while, but they now have a worn down bullpen to go against the Rangers for 3 games. They also don't have a day off until the 9th. Yes, the 40 man rosters are going to help them, but not at 100% most likely. The cascade effect may kill them, especially if Texas gives them a good hammering tonight. I feel a little better about this weekend.
