Chisoxfn
I keep thinking I should go and watch him. He plays his home games 5 minutes from where I work (and at the stadium my college baseball team plays at).

Iwritecode
And far too often, he was throwing 120 pitches or more, the concept of protecting a young arm by monitoring pitch counts not yet a science accepted throughout baseball. It should say not yet a science accepted by the Cubs then-manager Dusty Baker.
chw42
I'm actually very grateful that our manager is Ozzie Guillen and not Dusty Baker...
smalls2598
I was never really a fan of Prior, but that was mostly because he was on the Cubs and i was jealous the Sox didn't have anyone with that kind of skill. But now, i wish him the best of luck in returning to the majors; the guy went through so many injuries, and whether it was more mental or not, I think it would be cool to see him return to baseball. Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Sep 3, 2010 -> 01:38 PM) I was never really a fan of Prior, but that was mostly because he was on the Cubs and i was jealous the Sox didn't have anyone with that kind of skill. No team in baseball had a 1-2-3 the caliber of Wood/Prior/Zambrano back in '03. I envisioned a Braves-like run. Prior's second half of that season and playoffs (up until Bartman) was as dominant a stretch of pitching brilliance I've seen.
Whitewashed in '05
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 3, 2010 -> 05:19 PM) The Rangers have signed Prior to a minor league deal Surprised it wasn't the Orioles. Just reunite the squad.
