TheBigHurt
No disagreement there. It'd be great! I'm just pointing out that we don't absolutely (or mathematically) need it. I don't think we're likely to get much help, because the Rangers were the last supposed-to-be-hard opponent for the Twins, and the Rangers mailed it in because they are so far ahead in the West. But no problem - Sox just need to go ahead and take care of their own business, and get ready for 3 or 4 HUGE games against the Twins that will very likely determine the winner of the division. I've got my tickets! Hell, what does the rest of Minny's schedule look like???

Aside from the 3 at the Cell: 6 versus KC (split home/road) 6 versus Cleveland (split home/road) 3 at Detroit 3 at home versus Oakland 4 at home versus Toronto at the end of the season So I don't see much help. But if the Sox stay hot and the Twins luck runs out a little, the Sox could pick up a game or a few.

claydude14
I just returned home from one hell of a weekend in beantown! It was so much fun to be at Fenway and just watch some exciting baseball both games. I wore my Bieber jersey T on Saturday, making it 2-0 and of course my black Buerhle jersey today. Also the Biebs was within hundres of feet of Fenway during game one just watching the game. I provided the Hawkisms for the White Sox attendees around. There's a nice bunch of us in the Right Field bleachers on Sunday. Saturday night we made friendly but not too friendly with Red Sox fans. Of course I also was with two of those tipe of Sawx fans so fan relations seemed to go very well. There were some 7 year olds behind me taunting me about my jesery T actually... kids: "Is that jersey for justin bieber?" me: "yes" kids: "your stupid bieber sucks!" It was made right by an exchange with a passing by White Sox fan who stopped by to slap up me and the other good guys fans around us. *HIGH FIVES WITH DUDES PUMPED!* Passing by White Sox fan: "Yo let me see who you're wearing" (My buddy, his gf and I turn around to display) "Buehrle, nice, Beckham! Awesome! Bieber?" Me: "The White Sox are undefeated when Justin Bieber throws out the first pitch." Him: "That's f***ing awesome!" So that and then all the ridiculous dancing I did afterward with Boston ladies who were intrigued by the Bieb and opted for many photos (resulting in dirty looks from many but not all of the dudes) made for a good Saturday night. The End for now. P.S. Shook a mean fist at Twins fans I saw (2) and told them to just lose one game please!
stretchstretch
QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 5, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) Great win. It would be nice if the Twins would lose once in a while. what sucks is they won't get the ridiculous chop shot over the drawn in 3rd basemen, or "coaches hand touch" called out at 3rd, or the magical Span seeing eye grounder between first and second in the playoffs, and they'll exit first round as always as a waste of the ALC representative. If the wins they were getting were solid, I'd have no problem with them winning the division cleanly, but the garbage they get to sometimes to pull games out of their butts is infuriating, especially at home, even with the trampoline dome gone Edited September 6, 2010 by stretchstretch
Milkman delivers
QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Sep 5, 2010 -> 08:15 PM) Ugh, plus the whole catwalk thing in Tampa...If Karma's real, either they saved a bunch of orphanages from raging fires, or Joe Mauer's about to get hit by a meteor. Ha, thanks for that one.
