iamshack
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 11:31 AM) Was that sarcasm about Morel or did he make a good play? He took away a probable double play ball from Alexei by diving for a ball that was not his ball to take. Then he booted it, of course. macsandz
If a 3B can step in front of a SS to make a play you do it. It was certainly his ball to play.
fathom
I love stacking the lineup with righties even though Porcello really struggles against LHP. Hell, give me De Aza in CF over the K/DP machine in Rios.

iamshack
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 11:39 AM) If a 3B can step in front of a SS to make a play you do it. It was certainly his ball to play. Not if you have to leave your feet. The entire purpose is to field the ball more quickly than it would take to reach the ss. If you have to dive and you still don't have a good chance to field the ball, and your ss is amongst the best in the league, then no, it's not your ball to play. BigSqwert
You'd think Ozzie's beloved rotating DH idea would have had our players play with more energy at the end of the year instead of allowing another annual fizzle.
JohnCangelosi
This offense has been horrid the last 3 games, they look completely uninterested, looking to just pack it in. Why not just crown the Twins AL Central champs again, unbelievable....

Why not just crown the Twins AL Central champs again, unbelievable.... You have to admire the Sox winning 7 games in a row on the road, but it was like as soon as they lost a game and the Twins won that day, their bubble completely burst. We started seeing a lot of acceptance from the players with regards to what was likely to happen. Not that I blame them really, as the Twins are an absolute machine right now.
