ChiliIrishHammock24
What are you doing Pierre? I could have robbed that HR. He was under it for like 5 seconds, and then didn't even jump. He had enough time to jump and sit on the wall and catch it.....and yet he didn't even jump on a ball that landed about a foot over the line. Quin
Carlos Quentin had a better play at the wall than Juan Pierre. Let that sink in.
ChiliIrishHammock24
What the hell are they talking about? Alexei came back and stepped on the plate on his way to the Sox dugout....... dumbasses.....
Thad Bosley
They really should find a sponsor for these always-exciting at-bats courtesy of Mark Teahen. Oy.

greg775
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 01:35 AM) Cool Mark Teahen! I am so glad Ozzie decided to flip Teahen and Morel in the lineup so that way Teahen could be the one to come up with RISP and ground out instead of Morel coming up and having a much higher chance of succeeding..... f*** it, what do I care, games don't matter anymore anyway..... QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 02:07 AM) Watching Teahen play, whether it be batting or fielding, is a very painful experience. 1.) Get used to it. Sox are paying him a lot of money so he'll probbly be starting next season. s***, who am I kidding. He WILL be starting for the Sox next season. The Linebrink thing proves Sox won't demote/and or dump anybody making huge money. 2.) Sox need to quit signing guys who happen to hit White Sox pitching. Teahen is ridiculously bad. Who cares if he hit our wildly inconsistent pitching well throughout the years? Edited September 20, 2010 by greg775
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) They really should find a sponsor for these always-exciting at-bats courtesy of Mark Teahen. Oy. He has a pretty smart dog named Espy, and apparently Espy is so smart that he has taught Teahen some tricks. The main one being how to "roll over", because that's all I have seen out of Teahen in 3 AB this game.
Thad Bosley
Ok, Mr. Brent Morel - making your case for next year in no uncertain terms!
greg775
Great play by Morel. I'm laughing at what Teahen would have done with that perfect bunt.

greg775
I wonder if next year is the year our starting pitchers reach their potential.
greg775
Our team is laughably bad. They are dropping games now with the frequency of that winning streak earlier. Sox go on the field and they suck. It's been a given for a while now.
fathom
Good thing this game doesn't matter, as Ozzie left Danks in the game to die. Terrible manager!! Crowd is booing the team again.
greg775
Danks needs to learn how to pitch longer in games. Nice try. Ozzie is not a terrible manager. He's one of the best.

fathom
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 03:12 AM) Danks needs to learn how to pitch longer in games. Nice try. Ozzie is not a terrible manager. He's one of the best. You must be proud of the team quitting on him. He said that if anyone on the team doesn't feel like playing hard down the stretch, they will no longer be with the organization. Well, Ozzie managed tonight's game like he would rather be anywhere else than at the park. Not often you see a starting pitcher allowed to give up 6 base runners in the 7th inning. greg775
Or overachieving for him to build the record this horses*** team built. The Sox had a chance at the break. They had overcome the 9.5 game deficit. KW/Oz/Konerko made no attempt to improve by adding a big bat and reliever. It has nothing to do with quitting. Game.Set.Match. (the Konerko reference was to him also saying the team needed nothing to improve). Edited September 20, 2010 by greg775
ChiliIrishHammock24
Ozzie is probably thinking the same thing that Leyland was thinking last night when he let Verlander throw 130 pitches or so..... Gotta get it done. Talk is cheap. They were danging Hudson and got another starter for him. That was ridiculously dumb. Just get it done and improve the team. That was the season right there. Sox stood pat. Team failed.
