The Critic
QUOTE (juddling @ Feb 4, 2010 -> 12:50 AM) Well....if Cena's hurting a bit....maybe Vince should go get this kid to take his place. Holy Crap! That kid has an old man belly already, complete with titty side-tanks! I loved the way he took the belt off like it was underwear. Kyyle23
I thought last nights RAW was top notch. From the first match with Christian and Sheamus all the way until Hart came out and pounded on McMahon for a little while, there was actually storylines moving along and interesting things happening throughout the show. I like that DX lost the straps to ShowMiz, and now we have grumpy Shawn Michaels again and DX starting to break up, so he will be doing more fun things like Superkicking Teddy Long. Hart just doesnt have the coordination anymore, when he was breaking things and he pulled out the metal box and fell over I felt bad for him. I've never felt worse for a wrestler than when they brought back Vader a few years ago. He was incredibly out of shape (even for him), screwed up a bunch of times, and even fell while exiting the ring. You could tell he was pissed at himself when that last thing happened. I couldn't even laugh because it was that embarrassing. Edited February 9, 2010 by Milkman delivers
Brian
Looked like he wasn't expecting the fake electronic thingy to be as heavy as it was and was just thrown off balance. Not that big of a deal. I like how they are mirroring 1997. Just sucks that Mania is 7 weeks away and it is going to become redundant. We know what is going to happen. To contradict myself, it is better to let it play out and make Vince accept than just have him say YES after he said he was keeping Bret out o fthe building etc. You can also tell Bret has been working out. The Critic
Well, I was afraid of this: - Ric Flair told The Virginian-Pilot in a new interview that he will be wrestling in TNA "sooner than later." Flair also said he will most likely be involved in a storyline with Hulk Hogan. Flair noted that TNA is making changes for the better and that things in the company are happening quickly. I was hoping Flair would just stick to managing and not show his Dick The Bruiser body anymore, but no such luck. Flair and Hogan in the ring? No need for slow motion replays, they'll have slow motion live action. I wonder what "changes for the better" he's talking about? His returning to active wrestling ain't one of 'em. Kyyle23
Bret Hart spoke to Alez Marvez of Scrippsnews.com this week in a lengthy interview discussing his return to World Wrestling Entertainment. He says his parents and Owen Hart would say "hell froze over" if they were still around to see him return to WWE after a 14 year absence. Hart teased that his current storyline with Vince McMahon would culminate with a match at WrestleMania. Despite the stroke he suffered back in 2002 and the fact that McMahon is 64 years old, he can still move around well enough to put on a good match. "I'll never put on the performance I want to have, but I'll be able to do enough to entertain and give a good show. I'm very careful about what I do and allow myself to do and what can be done to me. WWE has gone through great effort to ensure all that and make sure I'm comfortable with everything." One thing he was unsure of when considering a return to WWE was how his past issues with Shawn Michaels would come into play. "When I came back, I didn't know if the whole thing with Shawn would erupt again," he said. "The truth is, Shawn has been real good with the whole thing. You can tell this is a weight lifted off his back, my back and I think even Vince to a certain degree. It feels like a new start." The Montreal Screwjob was a long time ago, but the situation set off such shock waves in the industry that even today, many fans can't tell what aspects of his current WWE run are part of the storyline. "I'm trying to turn a negative into a positive," Hart said. "I think this is good for wrestling fans. I know for a lot people this whole thing seems quite real. If I can deliver realism in today's wrestling, I'll think I've done a good job."
The Critic
I think the Bret/Vince match, whatever form it takes, is going to be good only for nostalgia. With the limitations both men have now, I think the match itself has the potential to be a cringe-fest. Hopefully Bret has one more good match inside him, but I'm not optimistic. It was 99.5%, but then Bret teased it on Raw, so that shot it up to 100%.

The Critic
Not bad for a part-time temp job: - There is speculation that Bret Hart is being paid $500,000 for the current storyline in WWE plus a big WrestleMania bonus.

Kyyle23
I am wondering how this Shawn Michaels angle plays out. He is basically out of Mania due to all of the matches he has lost, so he has to do something to weasel his way in at the elimination chamber

The Critic
Roddy Piper was on Adam Carolla's podcast the other day and it was ridiculous. He was kayfabe-ing Carolla the entire time. "I never threw a fight in 17 years!" "If they wanted me to throw a fight, it had to be a tag match and they could talk to my partner!" Hilariously awful. http://www.adamcarolla.com/ACPBlog/2010/02...dy-roddy-piper/
The Critic
LOL Man, you could feel the silence during Hogan's promo. And what I've gotten from Hulk's promo seems to be that "TNA is the IN PLACE TO BE, BROTHER" and "THE IMPACT ZONE IS ON FULL LOCKDOWN, BROTHER". Yawn. You know it's bad when Eric Young interrupting is an improvement.
