Buehrle>Wood
So HBK's really going through with it, eh? Anyone have any video of his speech. I stopped watching wrestling awhile ago, but would love to see it. Was pretty much my idol growing up.

Was it a mania match that HBK over sold it and let Hogan win, and after the countout he posed with hogan all around the ring only to give him sweet chin music right after they hammed it up in the middle of the ring? SoxFan562004
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 08:41 AM) So HBK's really going through with it, eh? Anyone have any video of his speech. I stopped watching wrestling awhile ago, but would love to see it. Was pretty much my idol growing up. we will see! I will give most wrestlers the benefit of the doubt, I think when they retire their mind and bodies are honestly ready and willing to retire, but after some time home, and in many cases, a shrinking bank account, they decide to come back. I have heard that HBK has been great with his money, especially in his second half of the career, so that might not be a factor. He really was a great performer, both in promos and in the ring. The time he super kicked Marty through the window is classic and his ladder match with Razor Ramon really introduced a new style of wrestling to the WWF at the time. Brian
I think the most we will get out of HBK, wrestling wise, is maybe a match at Mania next year along with his HOF induction. Maybe a GM type role. His speech had a little Randy "The Ram" in it. And HOLY CRAP, was Orton over! Edited March 30, 2010 by Brian
Kyyle23
yeah Orton is bigtime face right now. I dont know when it happened, but it did. And he is Austin type face where he is still a "bad" guy and people love him
Brian
Going through Impact, rather quick, and the stuff with Black Machismo was pretty funny. IMO
The Critic
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 09:09 AM) Was it a mania match that HBK over sold it and let Hogan win, and after the countout he posed with hogan all around the ring only to give him sweet chin music right after they hammed it up in the middle of the ring? Not sure if that was it. I just remember YouTubing it a while back and watching Michaels flop like a fish after every move, with Hogan starting off confused and ending up really agitated. They had a backstage conflict with Hogan using his creative control powers to avoid losing, so Michaels decided the best way to get even was to over-sell everything Hogan did. If it's still out there, it's pretty hilarious.

The Critic
Impact just got a little more watchable - The Nasty Boys have been released! Technically, their 90-day contracts expired, but either way THEY'RE GONE!!! Also gone from TNA is Consequences Creed.

Summerslam is where they wrestled. The sweet chin music is what started off the angle towards that match.

longshot7
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 05:04 PM) Im buying it on PPV, you gonna wear anything I should look for or make any crazy signs? No, no crazy signs. I had great seats, right on the 50 yd line. that Shawn/Taker match was unbelievable. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 06:17 PM) Have fun man, I was at WM 13. Not the most memorable Mania but it had probably my favorite match of all time (Hart/Austin). This years should be good. Also, I'd like to know how a Dragon Gate show is. I keep seeing that they run shows at the Congress Theatre every now & then. Dragon Gate's main event 6-man and the Tommy Dreamer match were great - the rest was kinda average. Lotsof lucha-style high spots. It was a concert venue tho - not great for a wrestling show. And it was FAR from sold out. Went to the Sox game so I missed the ROH show that day. Taped Impact vs. the Raw after Mania with HBK retiring? The only surprise is that Raw's lower than I expected. No wonder Impact is trying the "one hour headstart" trick. Another wCw tactic. Kyyle23
wow I am surprised that hogan superkick happened at the end of a RAW, I thought that was a PPV moment for sure. I remember HBK standing over him after he delivered the kick. I didnt get the following Summerslam but that match was hilarious now that I watch it. Brian
Winner of the NXT battle royal, on right now, will host Raw Monday. David Otunga, R Truth's rookie, won. Makes sense. He is the best talker of them. Edited March 31, 2010 by Brian
MHizzle85
QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 09:59 PM) Winner of the NXT battle royal, on right now, will host Raw Monday. David Otunga, R Truth's rookie, won. Makes sense. He is the best talker of them. First thing, I want 427 green m&m's in my dressing room. He may kinda suck in the ring, but he's pretty good at cutting promos. BTW, seeing that the winner gets the championship shot of their choice...it's blatantly setting up Danielson/Miz. DBAHO
He was in the doghouse only a month ago. Happens at the start of the show. And it seems as if Vickie Guerrero is going to be helping him, so we'll have Vickie vs. Edge down the line.
