NorthSideSox72
If Mitchell and Phegley look healthy out there (they don't even have to look all that great), this will be great.
flavum
Yeah, we need Mitchell to hit the ground running next year. I don't want to have a ton of Mike Trout jealousy a year from now.

danman31
QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 04:42 PM) where is thompson? mitchell, escobar and phegley are all double A's right Thompson is too raw for the AFL this year. Mitchell hasn't played at AA so I'm not sure of his classification for the AFL.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 06:20 PM) Thompson is too raw for the AFL this year. Mitchell hasn't played at AA so I'm not sure of his classification for the AFL. You can have like one player who isn't at AA or above in the AFL, can't you? ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 07:20 PM) Thompson is too raw for the AFL this year. Mitchell hasn't played at AA so I'm not sure of his classification for the AFL. Anyone know if he (and who else) will be in the "junior" AFL or whatever they're calling it. I think starting that last year was an A+++ idea by MLB by the way.
RockRaines
If Mitchell would have been healthy this year I can say with confidence that he may have taken some at bats in Chicago right about now. I am hoping he picks up where he left off before the injury.

Not sure any are likely to be in Chicago... other than at O'Hare as travel from spring training back to the minors. Balta1701
QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 06:21 PM) Not sure any are likely to be in Chicago... other than at O'Hare as travel from spring training back to the minors. The Sox seem to be very, very aggressive in promoting guys, especially the last couple years. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Mitchell in Sept., and a couple of the pitchers as well. Phossibly Phegley if he's over his health issues and has a good season as well.

I think anyone on the AFL list is a good potential candidate for starting in the upper levels of our org next year, if they perform well this offseason. ChiliIrishHammock24
In Mitchell's 1st AB, he smashed a double off the LFC wall (opposite field). EDIT: His 2nd AB he was called out on strikes. His 3rd AB he laced a single into CF. 2/3 with a 2B, and 2 runs scored so far. Jordan4life_2007
It's only the AFL, but I'll take any positive news I can get from any legitimate minor leaguer in the system.
Balta1701
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 12:27 AM) It's only the AFL, but I'll take any positive news I can get from any legitimate minor leaguer in the system. After last year, any of them being healthy enough to play is a huge boost.
