southsider2k5
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) Or they could end up like the Cleveland Cavaliers and also be stuck with Carlos Boozer's contract. Carlos Boozer is an asset to many teams, and would be to a team looking to start over.
Balta1701
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 04:41 PM) Carlos Boozer is an asset to many teams, and would be to a team looking to start over. I can't even figure out a plausible situation where that would be true. Maybe if the next CBA re-instituted the Houston rule and some team traded for Boozer to get out of as much luxury tax as humanly possible.

Teams couldn't use a PF scoring 20 points a game... No one wanted him during FA or anything, right?
Soxbadger
The ad about Miami winning makes me think that in some 3rd world country Lebron has been Champion twice now, and MJ never won one.

Gotta agree with Balta here. Boozer is a second tier PF that gets hurt a lot and is an awful defender. There's a reason he isn't on a max deal. That's going to be a BAD contract in a few years. Boozer is a second tier PF that gets hurt a lot and is an awful defender. There's a reason he isn't on a max deal. That's going to be a BAD contract in a few years. If the Bulls are playing to win a title I won't care about how bad it is (usual disclaimer, current rules) because that just means JR has to pony up for the luxury tax. For any team playing for cap space it's an awful deal.

Generally the clothing is printed before the outcome is determined, so they give it away. as a side note: these types of donations are the worst possible kind of charity. Refrain from putting your well-meaning effort toward those should the case arise. I'll be happy to point you toward charities doing the most effective work in their fields. jenksycat
6:42: Just wanted to commemorate this moment: Miami down three, gets a rebound and gets the ball to LeBron on the right side of the key, with J.J. Barea defending him one-on-one … and LeBron turns and throws a pass 20 feet backwards to Wade at midcourt. A few seconds later, Miami gives it back to LeBron, who reluctantly backs Barea down to the low post … and bowls him over. Offensive foul. All hail the King! (Note that's too important to be a footnote: If that sequence alone isn't enough to inspire LeBron to lock himself in a gym all summer until he emerges with a spin move, a jump hook, and a Jordan-eseque fallaway, then he's the biggest waste of talent in NBA history. You know at the car wash when they offer the "everything" package? That's what God gave LeBron. He's threatening to waste it. In a nutshell, this is what makes us so angry about him. It's not The Decision, or his lack of self-awareness, or the fact that he's a front-runner … it's that he's blowing the "everything" car-wash package. You see an athlete get handed the "everything" package maybe only five times in your life. I really need to look through the 200+ pages to find who posted that a post move for Lebron was "irrelevant in today's game"
