You know I'm not like that. But today just reinforced how good this guy is when he's right. And he hasn't been that bad the last couple years, actually. It just looks bad compared to '08 and '09.

Not just hear, I mean on Twitter etc. it's a little out of hand. Exactly like how people talk about a QB after a Super Bowl

Haha. You said hear. I'm just pointing this out because I'm still embarrassed that I didn't realize that was EE in your avy. but At least I was intoxicated.

I'm surprised that somebody like you that is obsessed with advanced metrics would dismiss any argument that a healthy Paul is better than Rose. lol.

I never said I completely trusted basketball's advanced metrics. I know what they are, I look into them, but that doesn't mean they totally sway my opinion like sabermetrics do.

I think I've seen enough of Rose to realize that he has the potential to be the best player in the game. He just hasn't fulfilled that quite yet. With his work ethic, it's more than possible. There's also the thing with shooting too many 3s and bad shot selection, both easy fixes.

Paul hasn't shown to be this good since 08-09. He has to show me more in order for me to crown him again (and I agree that he was probably the best player in basketball when he was fully healthy). One playoff game doesn't really tell me he's back to that form.

I read that forum a ton for Bulls news, but they are so anal there. If you don't 1,000+ posts, anything you say will be flamed.

The general board is even worse.

This is funny, CP3, while fantastic, has a great game for the first time in who knows how long and all of a sudden he's the best ever again.

Said folks also forget how D-Rose made CP3 his little b**** earlier this year.

One note on tonight's game.

I want to cheer for the Knicks, because they're not the Celtics, I want the Celtics battered, beaten, and out...

But yet...

I want it to be us who takes out the Celtics. After that series in 2009....I want it to be us.

it will be the Heat who fell the Celtics.

Anyone who would trade Rose for Paul right now or ever needs their head examined and puts way too much emphasis on one playoff game.

Steve, you've become a homer to the extreme. I'm just fine with Rose. But don't act like comparing Rose and Paul is like comparing MJ to Reggie Miller.

I'm just as stunned. Especially considering this is the healthiest I've seen Paul look in quite some time. But the Lakers game plan for him was horrible. It was like they thought he was gonna be on one leg tonight. I doubt we see them guard him one on one in the half court the next game. Speaking of Rose, as a Bulls fan, it pisses me off how much Bulls fans overrate him, just as much as it pisses me off how much non Bulls fans (or haters of Rose) underrate him.

Yikes Melo.

I don't know how the Knicks bounce back from that in this series. That was a disappointing loss. And does anyone else love OKC fans? Like a college environment in there. One of the best fan bases in the league.

When you factor in age and mileage, it kinda is.

Well, maybe next year or in two years we'll see some John Wall/Derrick Rose trade proposals. Wall is up and comming whereas Rose is older with much more mileage on his body.

I did watch the Bulls yesterday. I wasn't particularly impressed by Rose until the fourth quarter, when he basically took over the game and made it his b****. He was the reason they won, without a doubt.

First three quarters though, I just wasn't impressed with his performance. He was getting killed by Collison, didn't take care of the ball particularly well and was settling for the outside shot way too much. He had a couple of really flashy plays that were awesome, but other than that he wasn't playing the type of basketball he should be. The fourth quarter, obviously, was a completely different story. Really, really excellent play to give the Bulls the W.

Believe it or not, I don't really disagree right now. They both rebound with about the same tenacity, and Randolph has a more versatile offensive game. Give Love another 7 years, and things might be different. But right now? Randolph is probably the better player.

And this certainly doesn't take away the excellence of Love's season or how good a player he is. This season was remarkable.

Yeah, but Rose has insane drive while John Wall dougies before games.

And its not Chris Paul's age, though that is a factor, its the fact that for a lot of the season he had a monstrosity attached to his knee.
