Don't you need cable to watch sports and AMC/HBO?

I get ESPN through the xbox, the sox/bulls/hawks are on WGN/WCIU occasionally, otherwise it's network tv or the bar. I used PSN (or Netflix) for the AMC/HBO stuff, but now I might have to start going through a different service since Sony took on a war against hackers without having a firewall in place.

i hate that all of these games are on TNT without any sort of streaming capability. Forces me to go to a bar and spend a ton of money since i'm a nervous drinker during the games.

So am I. Going to a bar for important games can become bad news for me.

You realize that TNT streams the games via the internet right? You can pick up to four camera angles, too...

My buddy doesn't have cable but has been watching on that, runs the hdmi straight to his tv and it looks awesome.

Yeah, TNT overdrive. I do that when it's available, but it's sort of a pain to watch. 3 of the camera angles are pretty wretched and the 4th is the top of the backboard camera. Plus no replays, which in a game involving Rose (and now Wade and Lebron) is pretty key.

It's certainly better than nothing, but it's not nearly as good as the tv broadcast.

The Bulls are going to absolutely destroy the Heat. This series won't be close.

I'd like to say Bulls in 6, but you know the NBA wants this to go to seven. So i'm going with Bulls in 7 with each team stealing one on the road.

I hope this is true. But I'm just cautiously optimistic.

ESPN showed an interesting stat that I had never heard of. "ISO" offense and defense. Basically breaks down how many points a team scores and prevents in isolation-only situations (i.e. 1 on 1). The Heat were first in both ISO scoring and ISO fg percentage. The Bulls were first in ISO scoring defense and ISO defensive fg percentage. Not surprising. Pretty cool stat.

If the Bulls can take advantage of having the first 2 games at home, they can tear this team apart. The Heat are a good team when the pressure isn't on them.

Yeah, once my wife and I bought a house and moved to the burbs last year we decided to stop watching so much TV and ended our relationship with cable. We really only watch sports and the occasional AMC/HBO dramas.

This is the only drawback I've seen since dropping Comcast. Not sure why the NBA is broadcasting all of their playoffs on cable with no local access, but it does suck, especially with ChannelSurfing shut down.

It was a good 10 minutes behind the radio broadcast when I tried it the other day, but that could just be my terrible internet connection.

There are other ways to watch the game on your computer...

I'm so amped for this ECF.

It's about as close to a Good vs. Evil matchup as you can get.

Problem is, no way the Finals are as crazy as the series we are about to witness.

Derrick Rose winning the MVP at 22 and the NBA Championship in the same year is infinitely more electrifying than beating the Heat. Honestly, if he pulls it off we find ourselves with a guy who can start entering "the" conversation.

Key is: Bulls gotta get it done first.

f*** it, my head says heat in 6 but my heart says the Bulls take this series on pure heart and desire...couple of verry tight games, each teach with a semi-blowout win, and an OT for good measure with Pooh fighting and absolutely carrying the team throughout.

I'm sorry but you are not a Bulls fan if you fully expect the heat to win this series.

I don't think fully expecting the opponent to win makes you less of a fan. I think the Bulls will win this series if they play good defense and get guys other than Rose going like we saw last night. I think they'll do the job on defense, but I just don't trust the supporting cast enough offensively.

Define "the"? Please don't tell me one of the all-time greats.
