Chi Town Sox
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 11:35 AM) Oh really? Show me what year Luol ever averaged 20ppg? Show me when he ever had 3apg? His career stats: 15.9ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.2apg That's awful for the money he's making. There's a reason why the Sixers won't take him for Iguodala. Or the Nuggets absolutely refuse to take him in any Melo deal. His career PER is 16.3 which is slightly above average. His PER the last three seasons 14.7, 16.1, 14.2(that's this year). Showing his trends are downward. His career TS% is .527. He's only had two seasons when he's gone above that and one was in 06-07 when he has a TS% of .560 which is carrying upwards. I don't think I have to explain his eFG%. So please, tell me how Luol is any great? Tell me how or when he has ever lived up to his contract. Is he a useful player? Yes he is. His defense is pretty solid and he's a decent rebounder. That's the extent of it though. For a guy making: $11,345,000 $12,325,000 $13,365,000 $14,275,000 N/A N/A $51,310,000 over the next four years, that's an awful contract and that's why the Bulls would be hard pressed to get rid of it. I am not sticking up for Deng one bit but him and Iggy have the same career average in points, Deng more boards, Iggy more assists, Deng higher free-throw percentage, etc. It appears that Iguodala makes more per year, yet they have some pretty similar statistics seeing has AI has been the first option on his team for quite a few years and Deng has always been 2nd or 3rd option on his And that is even counting Deng's atrocious first year with VDN, what make Iguodala the far superior player? How fitting that this came out today as well from Forbes? http://www.forbes.com/2010/11/23/nba-most-...y-overpaid.html Edited November 23, 2010 by Chi Town Sox
DBAHO
The Spurs are rolling right now, took care of us last night in a very well fought out game. Howard was very good offensively again, seems to have stepped up a level on that front this season. But I don't see us winning it without making a move at the deadline and I think it has to involve Vince Carter. Expiring max contract, but who could we trade him for. I'd love CP3 but that ain't happening, Iggy could be an option but he's not a good outside shooter. I think Carmello could be an option still possibly, but I wouldn't want to swap Billups for Nelson with the way Chauncey has played so far. Besides that, don't really know what type of trade we could make, but I think we need to make some sort of move, whether it's an upgrade at PF to allow Pietrus or Redick to move into the starting lineup. Balta1701
Lakers coach Phil Jackson, in a Chicago ESPN 1000 interview, suggests he thinks it won't be long before Riley takes over coaching the Heat. Not that he's wrong, but I'm impressed about how tangled that web is.
Kyyle23
me and a buddy have been saying Spoelstra wont last until Christmas with how things are breaking down. with the minutes complaint from lebron and the "we just want to chill" comment from Bosh, it cannot be long before Spoelstra gets the SVG heave ho

So there's a good chance no NFL or NBA next year... Thank God I like college sports more than Pro, but still, it's going to suck if there really is a lockout. He suggested a much better idea in figuring out how to get Steve Nash. I'm not sure they could pull that off as easily as Gilbert though (I also saw the post on this). I'm not sure they could pull that off as easily as Gilbert though (I also saw the post on this). Bah, even with that large expiring deal they'd have no shot at him. Since teams have no idea what the CBA will look like next year, the Suns aren't going to trade Nash for an expiring unless they get a good haul back in exchange. kev211
Bill Simmons in regards to a question about if the Bulls scare him the most and if they're the celtics biggest competitions in the East now. "That's the Eastern team that scares me the most, especially if they can upgrade the 2-spot and do a little better than Ronnie Brewer. I'm terrified of them trading for Rip Hamilton. Repeat: terrified. Sorry Miami... I'm just not scared of a two-man team that has its best 2 guys basically alternating possessions. And sorry Orlando... I don't see how you're any better than last spring."

southsider2k5
Jesus, the first three minutes of the Bulls/Lakers game reminds me of why I hate the NBA. They iso Kobe on Bogans. Kobe twice gives Bogans the full arm clear out, which gets ignored, but they call Bogans for a tick-tack foul on Kobes hand, which didn't affect anything.
