I mean, I'm sure Miami would probably outdraw Chicago, but it's not as though the NBA would prefer a short series as opposed to a drawn out 7-game nailbiter.

Are you talking about bringing the ball up the court? Because the clock doesn't start until it's touched, and it wasn't touched until halfcourt.

No, the NBA wants Lebron in the finals. Chicago may be a bigger tv market but Miami would get more of the casual fans watching.

 

 

And the refs would want Miami to win so they can get to 3 wins and almost assure them of being in the Finals. You let Miami get to 3-1, have Chicago win game 5 and let Miami finish it off in 6.
