lostfan
QUOTE (Felix @ May 24, 2011 -> 11:52 PM) Says the guy that just posted his numbers from the last 3 games. What were you expecting? If you think his last 3 games were bad, then you have to have an awfully similar opinion on his performance overall in the postseason. That's all I'm saying. daa84
No doubt abotu it, Rose's struggles go way back before this series. He's just pressed way too hard, forcing way too much, trying to make too many things happen. Part of that is trying to live up to hte MVP, part of it is trying to make up for the lack of offensive support around him. He still has growing to do. He'll get there, he's just going up against 3 legit stars that are in the midst of their primes

Soxbadger
For all his struggles where Rose is at right now is pretty great. He just needs to take it to the next level, and that is going to involve thousands more jump shots and taking better care of the ball.
MexSoxFan#1
I was watching the game with my brother, long time Bulls fans like me going back to the 80's and I have a couple of points I wanna make... 1.Rose is only 22, the kid has a lot of growing up to do and he will no doubt get better (you still need to attack LBJ on an ISO, I don't give a f*** if he's this shut down defender, challenge his ass!!!) 2.Let's kick their ass in gm 5 and give the same effort in gm 6. 3.Let's have a gm 7!! Really, it's over but let's work these assholes so Dallas can finish them off. GO BULLS!!!

I said coming into the playoffs that if the Bulls got to the ECF, I would be satisfied. That's the best case scenario I saw with the team before the season. But with how well the Bulls played in game 1 and how much I hate those three ass holes in South Beach, I guess I got tricked into thinking the Bulls had a really legit chance at winning this series. I guess not.
lostfan
The Bulls managed to build a lead in the 3rd, then Thibs used that f***ing Rose-Watson backcourt and the lead evaporated in second. God I hate that lineup so much. Watson is an abortion on defense.

God I hate that lineup so much. Watson is an abortion on defense. It usually never works. Simply because Watson can't guard a SG, he's just too short. Miller got hot because he had a midget guarding him to start the 4th basically.

Watson is capable of creating his own shot. So he could free up Rose a bit, but the defense is so bad when that combo is out there that it neglects anything Watson can create on offense. chw42
I'm drooling after looking at Arron Affalo's Basketball-Reference page. He's exactly what this Bulls team needs. Too bad he's an RFA.
bulokis
Thibs got out coached. D. Rose seems to be doubting himself. He does not have that nobody can stop me attitude since game 1. greg775
On the last possession, I realize everybody in the universe says the MVP has to take the final shot. He also took it on the previous possession. But with LeBron James guarding, it may have taken some balls, but should we have set up a play rather than have Rose just take it? I know this is brutal second guessing and you've got to let your star, the MVP have the ball in crunch time ... but it didn't work. I credit the defense more than blaming Rose. He's only 22. In the future I'm sure Rose will own the opponent in that situation, but it sucks tonight to lose. I do think the Bulls can win Game Five. I sure hope they give it all and like you said, force those assholes to work for the title. No reason we shouldn't win Game Five unless mentally we're decimated. SleepyWhiteSox
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 24, 2011 -> 11:48 PM) Unless the Space Jam aliens return Derrick Rose's testicles, we're done. I mean really though, what more are you realistically expecting him to do given the personnel on both sides of the ball?? When it comes down to crunch time, it's glaringly obvious that it's 3 against 1, particularly in terms of the level of talent it takes to consistently put the ball in the basket. Unfortunately, that is what it literally became at the end of regulation because you just could not trust anyone else on the Bulls at that point to hit a big shot. He's trying to do EVERYTHING because he HAS to. He's not succeeding because there's MORE ELITE TALENT on the other side. It's really that easy. Balta1701
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 24, 2011 -> 11:34 PM) And this is why I wanted Mayo or another playmaker. Asik is a decent BACKUP C. But that's all he is. This team was too dependent on Rose all year. The Heat might well have swept this series If the Bull ha to have mayo guard Wade for 30 minutes in game

I don't know that Thibs got outcoached as much as he needed to outcoach the heat to have a shot.
