Palehosefan
Have to get in some praise for "my main man" Raymond Felton. He's flourishing now that he's on a legit NBA franchise.
Felix
Because all of my posts in this thread have basically turned into randomawesomeKevinLovetidbet, I'll give another one: Guess how many NBA players in the history of the league have ever averaged 15+ rebounds and shot 40+% from three-point range? Here's a hint: zero. Love is currently averaging 15.7 and shooting 41+% from 3.

lostfan
I loved the win over LA last night, great defense (outside of the first few minutes of the games). Rose was a beast, tell me what was more impressive, that crazy off-balance three in front of LA's bench, or that windmill s*** he did in the paint. But it'd be nice if this team could actually play 4 complete quarters against a quality team for once. I feel like that day is imminent, but damn, any time they'd like to do it would be fine by me. Every time I have a conversation about basketball with my dad, he points out that a lot of casinos outside of the U.S. allow for betting on who's going to win each quarter of a game, not just the whole game. When I see 2 completely different quarters like last night, back to back like that, I just can't help but think about htat.
nitetrain8601
Yep, heck they have bets on who scores the first bucket, who creates the first turnover, and who's likely to make a 3 pointer first.

Balta1701
Btw...the Bulls have had the toughest schedule in the NBA so far. And they're 10-4 against the Western conference so far.

Its not a difficult thing to figure out if you watch games. I've sat courtside for a couple of hundred games over the course of the years. Once you see how they start in the first quarter, and who blows the whistle the most, it is easy to figure that stuff out for the rest of the game. No advanced knowledge is really needed. Quin
I'm awaiting the obligatory Felix: "Kevin. Love." Shame Kahn can't surround him with talent. Here's hoping Rubio will help. Also, now with his three pointer, Rose will be the best PG by far at the seasons end. Edited December 12, 2010 by Quinarvy

No. There are too many elite PGs for that to be true.

Besides lacking on 3 point range, Westbrook is having a better season. I do think in terms of scoring Rose is far and ahead the best PG in the league though. If he could up his defense he'd prob be the best without question.

I'm hardly a Kahn fanboy, but I do think he gets way too much crap from the overall public. There's plenty of talent on the team right now, but given their age and immaturity, it hasn't led to as many wins as desired. Had they been able to hold onto a couple of wins down the stretch, this team could easily have five or six more wins right now. There's plenty of reason to be at least conservatively optimistic about the Wolves future. I didn't see the game tonight and I'm glad I didn't. Looked awful. Not too surprising though, we aren't too good on the road and the Bulls are a fairly quality team. s*** happens. They need to trade some of the young guys for better players/vets and they'll be cooking. Their most missing a penetrating PG who can be Rubio. I absolutely hated the Johnny Flynn pick though and still do.
nitetrain8601
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 09:12 AM) What were some jokers saying at the beginning of the season about John Wall already being better than Derrick Rose. Derrick Rose just might be the best player in the NBA. Let's not get carried away. He's not as efficient as you would like him to be. He's still pretty bad at defense, though Thibs' schemes are doing a good job of hiding them, he still jumps way too much to pass for a PG who's taller than 90% of the PGs out there. And the next time he throws a no look pass will be the first time. What I mean by that, is that he telegraphs what he's going to do way too much still. If he's going to shoot it, you pretty much know he's going to shoot it. When he's going to pass it, you know when he's going to pass it.

I absolutely hated the Johnny Flynn pick though and still do. Flynn hasn't even played yet this year. I don't think he fits the system as he's more of a pick and roll type of PG, but I don't think you can discount a young PG after one season of play. I suspect he'll end up more of a 6th man type of player, but it's way too early to close the book on him.

Derrick Rose just might be the best player in the NBA. It's hard to be the best player in the league when you aren't even the best at your position. Stop drinking the kool-aid, Bulls fans. Rose is great and still incredibly young, and might some day be the best PG in the league, but he's not yet.
