Balta1701
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 19, 2010 -> 12:36 AM) VERY early prediction: Thunder vs. Heat in 2012 NBA finals, and it goes 7 games. The Heat machine will be at peak level in year 2 IMO (Dwyane Wade is going to fall apart physically a lot earlier than most people seem to realize, probably by year 3 or 4), but the Thunder are just going to be such a force by June of 2012. You're predicting that there will be a 2012 NBA Finals?
Palehosefan
Heat will be lucky to win 64 games this year. Wade, Bosh, and LeBron will trade off stints on the DL. In fact, I think the roster will be a year full of the walking wounded. Ilgauskas isn't going to stay healthy, Miller hardly plays more than 70 games a year. I think Haslem might be the only player that plays over 70 games this year. LeBron will be the only mainstay during the season and I'm betting he gets rest before playoff time. I truly think Orlando will be the best team in the East next year, they have an insane amount of 3 point threats this year. However, they are a Dwight Howard injury away from disaster. My early guess at the top 4 in the East. 1. Orlando, 64 wins 2. Miami, 62 wins 3. Boston, 59 wins 4. Chicago, 54 wins

kjshoe04
Predicted Bulls lose to Heat in ECF and the Heat losing in the Finals. Completely wrong on Win totals and who the Heat would lose to though. Pretty decent.
southsider2k5
I was the closest to the Bulls total, only because I had the highest win total guess.
Jordan4life_2007
Other than the Heat getting to the finals, my pre-season predictions were pretty brutal.
ZoomSlowik
WAY low on the Bulls. 62 seemed unfathomable, especially if you had told me the number of games Noah and Boozer would miss. Kind of scary how far actually trying every game can get you in the league right now.
Quin
Was right about Bulls making ECF against Heat, losing to them. Was right about top 3 seeds, though even my mega-homerism didn't expect this past season from the Bulls.
MexSoxFan#1
The only thing I'll say is that if anybody ever predicts a team surpassing the Bulls 72-10 record again, I'm going to yell at my computer screen.

That's stupid. Miami was not supposed to be this good this year. They had no bench. Give them some vets taking MLE or less and at some point they're primed to make a push for it. There were people out there, quite a few, who (admittedly insanely, but still) thought they'd win 70 games! Also, the MLE will almost assuredly no longer exist whenever the NBA returns. Give them some vets taking MLE or less and at some point they're primed to make a push for it. I think alot of people who follow the NBA just don't understand how insanely difficult just losing 10 games out of 82 really is...just look at how many great teams have exsisted like the Showtime Lakers, Larry's Celtics especially that 86 team and others and no one got close to sniffing 72 wins. This Heat team has a huge X on their backs and every team in the league will want to beat them, they will have no easy games, I will bet anyone that the Heat will not surpass the 72 win mark ever or any team for that matter. I can't remember who wrote an article that said that one of the things that made Jordan so impressive is that even in a Januarary game against the Clippers, MJ would compete as if everything was on the line and his teammates would play with the same intensity or he would chew them out. You're crazy if you think LBJ or Wade can bring it night after night vs every NBA team.Actually I hope they try to break that record since I believe that'll wear them out by playoffs time. chw42
SoxAce actually predicted the Bulls would lose to the Heat in 5 games in the ECF. That's a damn good prediction.
Rowand44
I made pretty simple predictions in this thread but I was right on the Bulls unfortunately. Happy I was wrong about the Heat winning it all.

Brian
TWolves sign Rubio. Terms not disclosed. I'm not high on him but looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. Hopefully sooner than later. Anybody else watching these old drafts on NBATV? it's a who's who of draft flops.
