Pauly wont bat 3rd and Quentin would be your 6 hitter in that lineup. I'd also think that Alexei would start in the 2 hole with Gordo down in the order.

Dont you want to go RLR in the middle of the lineup? Quentin at 6? ICK! (Sorry, I'm very anti-CQ) And I can see the Alexei / Gordo switch, makes sense.

Either way you're going to have back to back righties somewhere 3-6 and PK has pretty much never batted 3rd for us and I see no reason for that to change. And yes, CQ can be frustrating at times(a lot of the time) but at this point he's still our best hitter outside the 3-5 if we're assuming Konerko is back.

EDIT: Thinking about it a little more, Q is actually a better hitter than Rios as well

Sorry if this had been posted elsewhere, but I'm kinda drunk, and didnt see this elsewhere in my limited search of the site; anyways, per Rotoworld:

SI.com's Jon Heyman reports that competing executives believe Paul Konerko "will surely stay" with the White Sox.

The White Sox want Konerko back, and he doesn't want to go anywhere, so it's probably only a matter of time before something gets done. Heyman speculates that Paulie would get $13 million per season. Adam Dunn is now in the fold, but he's better off as a DH, anyway, with Konerko spending most of the time at first base. Dec. 3 - 11:57 pm et

$13 million a year? Wow. So anybody know where that would put the payroll?

At $105M and that's as of NOW. Before, Danks, Quentin, etc. I think we're looking at $120M unless we see a trade of some sort.

Not my money and it looks like JR doesn't care either.

That's also Heyman's speculation, though Dunn and Pierzynski did both backload their contracts. $13 mill sounds about right for Konerko, considering his production, reputation, and the Derek Jeter treatment. Hoping for 2 years, though I imagine they'll give him 3, which honestly be quite scary.

Plus he's coming off a huge year and turned down arb with would have netted him at least $14 million for 2011. If Jeter's contract would have run out 1 season earlier than it did, he probably would have received the money and years his agent was initially looking for.

Last night on mlb 10 the Show (some psycho is updating the daily trades.

Needless to say, that is one crazy-potent lineup.

IMHO Konerko seems a bit to proud to just collect a paycheck and not produce. I think he goes 2 years with a mutual option for a third and player only for a 4th.

There's only so much he can do if his hip or hand or something else act up.

I'm about 45 games into a MLB 10 The Show Franchise with this lineup: (I've been working with Dunn, AJ & Konerko for weeks now...)

Pierre

Beckham

Konerko

Dunn

Quentin

Pierzynski

Rios

Ramirez

Morel

The team is 30-15.

Presumably, Beckham went in the Upton deal.

I know, and it made me sad :(

Honestly, I don't know that I like Upton + Lilly more than Beckham + Pierre that much. Not enough to give up other pieces like Viciedo or Floyd, anyway.

Is there a darkhorse on Cliff Lee? Try these five teams! http://bit.ly/gtFOCa #Angels #Phillies #Reds #Tigers #WhiteSox #MLB - Ken Rosenthal

Kenny seemed really tickled at the idea of getting Roy Halladay to fill out the rotation last year. It wouldn't suprise me if he went all in to get another big-time arm.

The Sox will never spend that much money for that many years for a pitcher. EVER. Long-term deals to pitchers never work out. Almost always the last couple years are just awful wastes of money. We are fine in the rotation, IMO.

If Kenny did that then he really, really, really wants to win next year. And is hoping that the revenue offsets the payroll.

The guy I'd love to see them make another run at is Homer Bailey. The Reds are looking for a SS, I'd have no problem dealing Ramirez for him especially if they're sold on Escobar for 2012 and beyond. A top 3 of Jackson, Danks, and Bailey would be nice and would give them flexibility to deal Floyd if they get a good offer.

I like Homer Bailey too, but Alexei is more valuable. You could probably build a package around Escobar and get the deal done. (considering his stellar AFL numbers).
