Chisoxfn
What would people think if we had one giant baseball forum in the off-season? Ie, merge palehose with the diamond club so that all off-season topics are in one place. Part of me thinks it would create a lot more discussion plus prevent threads from popping up in two forums. The reason I say this is, I fully believe what goes on in another organization often times has an indirect impact as to potential moves the Sox or our competition might make. It would only be a temporary move and I wanted to see what everyone would think before I just went and did it. Let me know your thoughts
Balta1701
Can we keep the separate, pinned "MLB catch all thread"?
Chisoxfn
Ya, I'd go with an MLB Pinned catch all, plus the Sox pinned catch all, but any story big enough could be posted within the pale hose forum. I think it is a pretty good idea since we often through out ideas involving tons of players, even though many of them will never directly be associated with the Sox. Just my 2 cents and I am open to either way, but it was a new idea that had popped into my head that I felt might be pretty effective. Especially since the season should kick off with a bang. When pitchers and catchers report, Diamond Club would re-open.
Jordan4life_2007
Somethin' new. Go for it.
Milkman delivers
I think we need to separate the threads with actual, relevant news and rumors from those "what do you think/here's what I think we should do" threads. I find the latter to be incredibly useless and annoying.
bigruss
Sure, might as well see how it goes.
hogan873
Go for it. I like the idea, however, of separating out the "what if" threads vs. the news-worthy threads.
justBLAZE
I'd give it a try.
Milkman delivers
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 04:36 PM) Go for it. I like the idea, however, of separating out the "what if" threads vs. the news-worthy threads. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I hate opening up a thread only to see: Well, I think this team is looking for some pitching, so we can send them ____ for ____ and stick him in RF. Then, we would free up money to make a play for a big name at 1B. Sign ____ off of the screap heap for middle relief, etc. I just don't care to see so many hypotheticals that have no basis in actual news.

You're not referring to my trade Floyd/Danks to another team for top of the line prospects, then add Viciedo to that bunch to flip to the Indians for Shin Soo Choo idea, are you? Ha ha I kill me.
