Balta1701
QUOTE (beckham15 @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 09:19 PM) person of the year for what? backstabbing his home state to take his "talents" to south beach, wtf The title is supposed to be given to the person who had the greatest influence/effect on the world in the year. Of course, they usually ignore that rule any more to give it to someone who's actually politically palatable.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) The title is supposed to be given to the person who had the greatest influence/effect on the world in the year. Of course, they usually ignore that rule any more to give it to someone who's actually politically palatable. Well that explains leaving Gage out at least. Balta1701
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 11:28 PM) And those are some pathetic choices. Honestly...if you wanted to be 100% accurate, you'd probably have picked the President of the United States every year since 2001.
HuskyCaucasian
Julian Assange should be the person of the year.
Balta1701
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 16, 2010 -> 12:30 PM) Julian Assange should be the person of the year. I can see why you'd say that...but really, the wikileaks work hasn't really seemed to make a big impact on anything.

Having the end result mean something is sort of the definition of the award as I understand it.
Harry Chappas
If LeBron is on the list with Gaga how is Drew Brees not on it. Was there a bigger story as it relates to NO, the hurricane and football? I thought it was overblown but I would say he would be a tollerable choice compared to some of them. I hope the Chilean miners get it.
