Marky Mark
A long battle has finally been won. I never thought this day would come.
LittleHurt05
Impressive! I am fighting that battle now, but I doubt the wife ever gives in with a letter like that.

knightni
The Cubs look like losers anyway. The haven't improved and most of the fan-popular guys are gone. It's really an easy decision.

FlaSoxxJim
I don't think getting into the club Southsiders Club should be that simple — make her study up and take a White Sox quiz like in the movie Diner and then she can jump on board. iamshack
QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Dec 25, 2010 -> 10:56 AM) A long battle has finally been won. I never thought this day would come. Never trust a Cub fan. There must be an ulterior motive....like she just bought herself a $3,000 dress and put it on your credit card or something... I agree 110% with this!!
Y2HH
I don't believe it either way. There is no way to change team allegiance on a whim, even if you want too because of how much you grow to hate loving them...they're still your team. You didn't choose your team, your team chose you. While they'll never admit it, deep down, they're secretly hoping success for their former team and the day they make it to the world series, the truth will come out. Milkman delivers
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 09:42 AM) I don't believe it either way. It may be a few decades down the road, but yes, it will come out. I actually gave the Cubs a chance back in high school. I figured that we live in one of two cities in the country with two baseball teams. My love for the Sox was already there, so why not double that experience. There was about a month-long period where I honestly tried to watch as many Cubs games as possible to try to root for them. But time after time, they would choke and a smile would creep across my face. I just didn't have it in me to root for them because I got so much pleasure out of watching them lose.
