Finally got around to watching Brokeback Mountain. Impressive film although I thought Gyllenhaal was a weak casting for Jack Twist. Amazing cinematography.

I also liked it, of course it took me years before I finally watched it when I was by myself one night and there was nothing else to watch on demand..

Dude, it was a good movie.. its definitely not like you just described..

Its a very cool take on an alien invasion movie, and of course there are some solid ass actors in it.. I didn't find it to be cheesy like you might get off first impression.. I loved the story, it was an enjoyable movie

But its not a "storyline sucked, but it looked great" kind of movie.. it was solid

Daniel Craig hasn't had a single successful movie (box-office wise) outside of the Bond franchise.

Well, I thought Harrison Ford just mailed it in. At least Rockwell, Adam Beach and Craig had more interested roles. Olivia Wilde is growing on me, I guess.

Not enough to pay money to go to the theatres and see CHANGE-UP though.

Maybe it's Anne Hathaway's glasses that don't do it???

Who is in that second picture? Looks like Maria Ozawa???

Halfway through MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, having studied Hemingway, FS Fitzgerald, Picasso, Gertrude Stein, TS Eliot, all those 1920's Parisian writers/artists/singers/poets/painters....I love it. Maybe it's because I am a big Owen Wilson fan, and he's almost perfect for this role.

A lot of people have either a love or hate reaction to this film, though.

well if you determine the worth of a movie by the box office take, then you must be a big fan of High School Musical and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.

Daniel Craig has made plenty of good movies outside of Bond, his box office take is really irrelevant

Daniel Craig is a great actor. He's man-crush worthy, if you will. I cannot control who goes to see what movies, but the man is a movie star (despite what Grantland tells you, Caulfield). The first starring role of his I can remember is 'Layer Cake', and I thought that movie was awesome. I first noticed him in 'Road to Perdition'... man has some acting chops.

Anyway, 'The Girl' movie franchise is going to catapult him even higher, and I'd venture to say that being "James Bond" is enough to give the guy cred.

It looks like it's also Anne Hathaway. Possibly fan concept Photoshop job.

Sorry Chisoxsonic.

Sorry, will now go back to Death Race, Tarantino, Machete, Sin City, The Watchmen, Tombstone and Easy Rider to make myself more macho again.

Hey, when you're an English Lit major and you have to study all those authors, it's kind of interesting to see all those writers enacted/portrayed in a movie. The Hemingway character is hilarious...must have had a lot of fun with that role.

And, FWIW, I liked Daniel Craig in Defiance a lot. He was very good. Golden Compass, that was a disaster for all involved, from Pullman on down.

I just hope the next Bond movie (whenever it gets ironed out) is more like Casino Royale....the last one was super-disappointing.

Definitely a good one. The obvious mention has to be Layer Cake (since it was this role that got him the Bond films), awesome film.

Skip The Patriot. Bore-fest!

You must hate America.

Checked out Source Code on Sunday. Another meh movie. Decent idea that took a dive off the cliff about half way through. Gyllenhall is becoming quite the actor, i'll grant him that. But the story was weak (the "bad" scientist was incredibly awful with whatever accent he was using) and really the whole "science" behind it didn't really fit together at all. The obvious problem being that if you're relying on the last 8 seconds of a persons memory, how are you able to see/experience things that the source did not? Probably a dumb quibble considering the whole thing is unbelievable to begin with, but still.

Unless he's talking about the Steven Seagal version. Can't get much more Amurica than Seagal. :usa

That just looks downright disappointing.

Defiance was a really underrated movie. I'm also a Daniel Craig fan.

Wow. Black Swan was incredible. f***ed up and creepy as all s***. But a phenomenal movie. Pretty rare for me to be blown away. This did it.

I had these exact feelings when the wife and I saw it in the theater. A totally awesome movie.

What do you mean? I dont remember him ever saying no to anything but Robin

I could have swore he said no to Catwoman and Robin both. I remember reading about it, but all the articles are way back and hard to find now.
