BigSqwert
QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 12:59 AM) If Lupe sucked, you wouldn't think of it that way. You only think this way because it was a let down and you had high expectations. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 01:09 AM) Lupe with another classic album. Man is amazing. 59 out of 100 on Metacritic. Pretty lousy.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 01:09 AM) Lupe with another classic album. Man is amazing. I give it a B-, with Food and Liquor being an A- and The Cool being an A+
TheChrisSamsa
QUOTE (The Critic @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 09:11 AM) Face To Face is playing the Bottom Lounge on May 5th and I already know I can't go. I am beyond disappointed. One of my favorite bands playing at that small and intimate of a room? That would be great. Damnit. I saw Face To Face at House Of Blues probably 8-10 years ago. I pretty much got my ass kicked, but it was a hell of a show.
greasywheels121
Culdesac was better, but this is still swag. http://www.iamdonald.com/post/3720599556/n...p-download-here
MHizzle85
I don't get all the praise for the Lupe Fiasco album. The weakest effort he's EVER put out & people are talking about it as if it's up there with his previous efforts. Ironically, this will more than likely be his best selling album. I'm happy for him in that sense, but if it means we'll keep getting this from him, he should of just retired. I like the Lupe that brought me the Fahrenheit 1/15 tapes & his 1st 2 albums. The Critic
QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 07:09 PM) I saw Face To Face at House Of Blues probably 8-10 years ago. I pretty much got my ass kicked, but it was a hell of a show. I'm sure I was there, too. I've seen them five times, most recently at last summer's Warped Tour. They're always great, and I'm really glad they came back from "retirement". New album coming out in May, as well. What I've heard of it, I really like. ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) I don't get all the praise for the Lupe Fiasco album. Actually, most real Lupe fans say this CD is not that good, but it's more of the "new" Lupe fans that think it's awesome. I hear a lot of girls singing to some of the songs and being like "This new Lupe guy is awesome!". I just shake my head. The Cool I think is his best CD by far, and Enemy of the State is probably my favorite mixtape of his, although A Rhyming Ape was really cool. Holy s***. I felt my brain melting and dripping out of my earhole. That is awful, even by Disney Channel "standards". I don't know if that girl is a Disneybot, but she sure seems to be. Iwritecode
QUOTE (The Critic @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 05:15 AM) Holy s***. I felt my brain melting and dripping out of my earhole. That is awful, even by Disney Channel "standards". I don't know if that girl is a Disneybot, but she sure seems to be. I finally watched this last night since I kept reading about it everywhere and it was up to 13 million views on YouTube. Then they played it and made fun of it on the radio this morning so now I actually have it stuck in my head. Honestly, I don't see much difference between this song and every other Disney/Nickelodeon/bubble gum pop song that's come out in the last few years. DBAHO
Don't think I've heard a more annoying autotune in my life than that song. And what the hell is Usher doing? He seems to be signing every little kid off the street these days.
bigruss
After watching "Friday" and "My Jeans" I have come up with this- recipe to making a viral music video: 1) be a young female, like creepy young 2) lyrics written by even younger person 3) "sing" slowly enough to make sure that every word is autotuned 4) have awkward friends guest star in the music video with you, to be "real" 5) place a rap segment 3/4 of the way through the video, to show you a dangerous side, but make sure the rapper is white enough to not scare away mothers

3E8
The Sounds' new album is really good. Recommended for fans of indie/new wave/dance. You might remember one of their songs from that Geico commercial with the cavemen on motorcycles.
StrangeSox
Two full-length tracks from the Foo Fighter's upcoming album: http://www.antiquiet.com/news/2011/03/foo-...-arlandria-mp3/ also didn't realize Pat Smear had rejoined. Time to bust out some Germs tunes! Edited April 1, 2011 by StrangeSox
