Swingandalongonetoleft
Kicking around the idea of going to Paul McCartney at Wrigley for one of the dates (7/31 or 8/1). Bad seats are going for nearly $100 and I'm not sure about that...

Bad seats are going for nearly $100 and I'm not sure about that... If you have never seen him preform live, go. The show is incredible. I saw him in 2002 at the UC and it was worth every single dime. Swingandalongonetoleft
Yeah, I just want to be sure that I'm not paying $100+ to look at a pole all night. FWIW Section 528 row 3 is what I'm looking at.

Swingandalongonetoleft
I found this. Went ahead and bit the bullet for $130 on stubhub. I think I read somehwere that the obstruction doesn't start until row 6.

Milkman delivers
Ever since that commercial for Miami Ink, I can't stop listening to New York Groove by Ace Frehley. It's funny how a commercial can introduce me to a song that's existed forever. The same thing happened with I've Got A Rock 'N' Roll Heart by Eric Clapton (a phone commercial, I believe) and Ooh La La by Faces (Men Of A Certain age promo). Swingandalongonetoleft
Eddie Vedder's Ukulele Songs finally arrived at my doorstep today. If you enjoyed the Into the Wild soundtrack, get this.
The Critic
Riot Fest is way more in my wheelhouse than Lollapalooza every year. Some of the bigger names this year include Weezer, Social Distortion, Danzig, Descendents, X, Helmet, All, and the one that made me buy a ticket right away - the reunited D Generation! I'm very excited to see them!!
Swingandalongonetoleft
Saw Eddie Vedder @ Chicago Theatre last night. He played a nice mix of songs from Pearl Jam/Into the Wild/Uke Songs. Pretty solid time, though I had to leave during the encore on account of catching a train/not being dead at work right now.

The Critic
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:38 AM) Cowboy Song by Thin Lizzy is an extremely underplayed and unknown song for how f***ing awesome it is. Thin Lizzy is an extremely underplayed and unknown band for how f***ing awesome they are. They have so many outstanding songs, it's downright criminal that they weren't as big as other bands of their era. They were great at melodic hard rock, they had great ballads, they went almost metal at the end of their run, and they did all of it better than most. .....s***, now I gotta play some Lizzy!! This is so depressingly true about a large number of bands. Never really gone into Thin Lizzy all that much, but I know this song is a Thin Lizzy tribute, and that song is very awesome. I'll have to check out Lizzy sometime.
