The Bucs have to sign free agents to reach the salary floor next season (assuming there is a cap)

As noted from where I stole this data, the cap in 2009 was at $130 million. If the owners succeed in forcing cap reductions on the Union, the Packers could be in a position where they have no choice but to make cuts, just in order to sign this year's draft class. Even beyond that, they're not in a position to be able to make long-term commitments right now, to add to that team or to extend guys they need to keep.

 

Kind of sounds like the other recent championship team I follow.
