It would be better if Peavy came back late in April at 100% and healthy for the year than to break camp with the team and make 7 starts before he has to go on the 60-day. If what Pt has said is accurate, coming back early is not a question of risking repeating the injury, it's just a question of arm strength. I f*cking love Jake Peavy. I love his honesty, I love his will to compete, and I hope he can stay healthy and show again that he is definitely a world-class pitcher. I know it is Spring Training and all, but he sounds like he is undergoing the same change that Buehrle had to make, where instead of not taking care of himself, he realized that he had to do a little bit more work to still compete at a high level. I never thought anybody could match Buehrle on the likeability scale, but Peavy now stands beside him. Buying his jersey for this season turned out to be a good choice. I will wear it with pride.
