RockRaines
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 10:25 AM) It's offical, Fuku to Cleveland. Quite the signing that turned out to be. Thank you Jermaine Dye, Shingo & Iguchi for forcing Fuku to turn down the Sox higher offer and sign with North Siders. To be honest, I would have liked his OBP on the Sox. (Although that's about what Dunn is making for OBP and little else) Yeah the Sox I think offered him 14 million. That would have given us another high priced guy to b**** about and another one to add to the fire Walker list.

They definitely needed him. Sizemore & Choo are still out for several weeks. Michael Brantley is decent. Then who do they have in the OF? Travis Buck? Ezequiel Carrera? Austin Kearns? kitekrazy
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) That's all right Rudy will fix him! Funny how I see both Chicago team mirror each other in hitting. Poor plate discipline and they all shut down at once. At least the Cubs tried a new but highly though of hitting coach to produce the same results. I always thought if the Sox had Big Z, he could be used as a pinch hitter. He likes to work on his hitting. Maybe they need that kind of inspiration.,

The Critic
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 04:59 PM) Entertaining 5th inning in this Cubs/Cardinals game. Quade kept arguing Holliday's clean, legal takeout slide until he got tossed. Guess he wanted to take a shower rather than watching the collapse. I have no idea what they're doing with regards to not trading away anyone they can. If they offer him arbitration he might still be type B, I dunno. Would you offer him arbitration and risk having him accept?
