KC must regret not trading Soria in the offseason. His trade value keeps diminishing with every pitch he throws.

I don't get that vibe at all, he's struggled a bit, but hell he's only human. Hosmer continues to rake...

Soria just blew another one. Gives up a 2 run HR to Hunter. Royals trail 9 - 8.

Bad teams should not fall in love with their closers. They should trade them before ... well, before this happens.

Can't say I disagree.

I believe they are converting him back into a starter.

I have not heard of this, but it may be true after all. He seemed to be pitching just fine when they sent him down, at the time I believed it was just a matter of who had options and who didn't.

Soria, at least for the time being, is out as Royals' closer. Rookie Aaron Crow will take over...

Indians lose in part because Jayson Nix homered.

Jayson Nix is still in baseball. Good for him.

lol greg we JUST saw him the other day.. you had to have noticed in the 4 games we played in Toronto, Nix was still in baseball

I think I hexed Soria and Thornton.

I was just about to say this..

Very odd both guys are having down years when you compared them both in the off-season.

Francisco Liriano to the DL

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/43218664/ns/...ts-player_news/

Twins placed LHP Francisco Liriano on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 23, with left shoulder inflammation.

It was originally expected that Liriano would miss just one start, but he felt renewed soreness while playing catch before Monday's game. The good news is that an MRI revealed only inflammation, but despite his no-hitter, Liriano just hasn't looked right this season. The southpaw has a 5.73 ERA and 34/32 K/BB ratio over nine starts.

3-0 Indians vs rangers, 3rd. Uhh...we need them to lose five in a row. Every time I think they're about to hit the skids, they come up with a couple wins. And that's all they really need to do...play .500 the rest of the way, and they're going to be in it to the end.

They get Dave Bush with a spot start for TEX. What a joke. The guy barely hits 85 on the gun. Plus Huggy Washington is only starting 2 LH hitters against Carrasco. Lefties hitting over .350 against Carrasco.
