There are exactly 4 teams in MLB that have failed to make the playoffs in the last decade...2 of them I actually have some sympathy for, the Blue Jays and the Orioles, because of what they have to compete with...but it's been made clear over the past 4 years that you can build a winner in that division despite the Yankees and Red Sox with decent management. The same teams lose each year because 2 of them are trapped behind the Yankees/Red Sox and haven't been smart enough to manage their way out of it, and 2 of them have done a horrible job of drafting, developing, and trading for the better part of 2 decades. Boston got a double on a ball that Baltimore's LF lost, Baltimore score 2 on outfield defense by McDonald that makes Juan Pierre's early season defense look stellar. Two dropped balls and one poorly timed leap. Only one of those dropped balls can be attributed to the sun. ...and as luck would have it, McDonald gets one of those runs back with a solo shot. Edit: Another misplayed fly ball leading to Boston's second run. Looks like the OFs are just throwing themselves in the general direction of any ball hit deep. 6-2 O's.
