Pretty much everybody, players, coaches and management, give the same standard bulls*** response. "Our pitchers were tired" or "give the Twins credit" or whatever lame s*** you can come up with. Team was 57-31 at the break. They collapsed (and I don't mean the Soxtalk poster) down the stretch. Much like '05. They just didn't have a 15-game cushion to play with. He ought to tear into Kenny though. Might as well come clean about why the 2 couldn't stand each other. I still think in the weird mind of egotistical baseball players and former players, Ozzie believes (which he was) a much better player than Kenny and can't stand the fact KW is his "boss." Even though KW has no power over Oz he technically is his "boss." Does anybody in the know know anything about what Jerry is thinking? That's where the scoop lies. You'd think the reporters would be able to get something from Jerry's confidants. People like to talk.

I saw George Carlin in Vegas at the MGM and he was so f***ing funny. Lot of people walked out when he was doing his take on suicide and his take on kids' names today. Lots of mommies who named their kids artsy names couldn't take it when George pointed out how dumb the names sound compared to Mike, Bob, Joe, etc. He's a genius and it was two hours of bliss listening to his jokes and diatribes. I think both Ozzie and Kenny have lived very privileged lives and shouldn't be comparing themselves to others. All I was saying is Ozzie should not rip the White Sox or Jerry in his Marlins' press conference, but he could at least explain his hatred of KW, which is what ultimately would be the reason he gets let go if he gets let go. What's wrong with that? And this is my take on why he basically is unwilling to listen to KW at all. Oz IMO thinks he's better than Kenny; I think that is a decent take. NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 07:59 AM) Honestly, before he had that gruesome leg injury Ozzie Guillen was one of the best defensive SS to ever play the game. One of the best "ever" may be a stretch, but certainly during his time, the only guy better was the other Ozzie. That's something a lot of people don't see when they look at the stats, and assume Ozzie was bad at baseball. No, he was below average hitter, who played well above average defense at a critical position.

After all, Ozzie was a much better player than Walker.
