Balta1701
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 06:18 PM) We're tied with the Indians. We have the better record head to head and therefore have the tie-breaker
Leonard Zelig
Kalapse's spreadsheet is not up there under the banner anymore. Can somebody fix that?
southsider2k5
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) I was suprised that he's still showing consistent velocity. He was hitting 93 with decent movement. Maybe he finally took this seriously and worked out over the winter. Colon can be a real good pitcher if he is hitting 93. He couldn't do it at Buehrle speeds. chw42
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 09:02 PM) Sam Fuld got the #1 play of the week on the MLB network for his catch against Pierre . The Tribes triple play against us was in the top 5. All things considered, we've been pretty damn unlucky so far. Great plays made against us, errors by terrible fielders, errors by great fielders, uncharacteristic bullpen blowups. Thank goodness our offense is doing so well or else we'd be looking at a crappy start again.

Rowand44
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 03:21 AM) All things considered, we've been pretty damn unlucky so far. Great plays made against us, errors by terrible fielders, errors by great fielders, uncharacteristic bullpen blowups. Thank goodness our offense is doing so well or else we'd be looking at a crappy start again. To add to that, our opposition has seemingly had a ton of bloop hits while we've hit a ton of rockets right at people. Still 6-3 despite some rocky moments this season so I'll definitely take that. Thank goodness our offense is doing so well or else we'd be looking at a crappy start again. I sure hope the bolded is true. It may also be worth noting that we're not likely to hit .310 as a team for the season and lead the league with a .374 team OBP so maybe we haven't been THAT unlucky... HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE (YASNY @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 04:41 AM) That may turn out to be THE play of the year. That was a great play. Not only was the catch itself impressive, but the SITUATION also makes it that much more amazing. Bases Loaded, 2 outs, and a speed burner who could make it an inside the park grand slam if the ball isnt caught.
Milkman delivers
I'm sure the offense is going to decrease a little, but I don't think it should drop off that much. They're still playing in cold weather and bats usually heat up with the temperature.
