I think Milledge and Viciedo playing so much is a sign for next year.

I like Teahan as a person, really do. But for the guys own sake, get him out of here.

Clearly you don't.

Clearly you don't.

I said as a person...and I do actually.

But seriously, he's the kind of person that seems like he'd beat himself up for his mistakes, which should be enough, but there will be people calling for his head which will only compound the problem.

Nevermind, just saw the edit that I misspelled it. I actually paused to think if I was spelling it wrong.

Teahen will play the year out on the MLB roster with the Sox constantly looking to dump him off during the season. If no one bites, we'll probably see a Linebrink type situation again where the Sox eat a solid chunk of his upcoming salary and take back virtually nothing in return.

This.

He does break with the Sox, barring a catastrophe of epic proportions in the spring. Today does not qualify.

In my book, it's Kenny's worst move as GM. Not the trade, but the extension.

I'm sure he regrets it...he has to.

Not KW's finest moment.

I agree with an earlier poster who likes the development of Teahen's obvious suckitude. I want Morel at 3rd. Sox best play last year was with Omar at 3B solidifying the D. I don't think Morel will be a BA-like drag at the bottom of the lineup, either. The guy has been a great "adjuster" as he moved up in the system, and I expect decent offensive numbers frm him in the 9 hole this year.

Might even be a decent option for the two hole, down the road apiece.

The other benefit, if it motivates KW to lieterally "dump" the guy, is that it opens up a roster spot for a more exciting, dynamic player, of which I think we have a few options, possibly.

Try as I might, I can't flame Teahen or anybody for spring training games.

They don't matter.

I think most are in agreement Teahen should play Lillibridge type innings and be paid about 2.5 mill less.

If he played better defense I would have zero problem with him and his contract. He doesn't, though. Le sigh.

The Sox are probably some 40-50 games below .500 in the preseason during the Ozzie era. He should be used to it.

Spring Training records don't mean much, games usually end with a line up filled guys you may never see wearing a White Sox uniform in a game that will matter. I think he's concerned with how the guys who are expected to contribute are playing, especially considering the emphasis the White Sox are making on a fast start this year. It does seem way too early to panic. It seems the only thing we really have learned is Teahen is still a lousy thirdbaseman. That's not exactly a shock.

And that Dunn will strike out a ton. Again not exactly a shock.

Yep. I know they are trying to make him into a serviceable third baseman, but the odds of that are about the same as Carlos Boozer turning into a serviceable defender
