clujer420 Posted August 4, 2003 Share Posted August 4, 2003 Bryant's defense lawyers asked Eagle County Judge Frederick Gannett to let the Los Angeles Lakers guard skip the hearing, citing it as a common practice in Colorado for out-of-state defendants. Gannett denied the request, saying it's vital for Bryant to appear. It would be funny if the judge acted like it was a real hearing, then said "Kobe, look to your left -- you're on candid camera!"
