DirtySox
QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 09:34 PM) Double for Flowers. He's been above and beyond expectations this spring. I'd like to know if the changes to his swing are legitimate, or this is just a small sample size/spring training illusion. Either way I'd bet he's traded at some point. CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Quentin with a 3/3 night after going 4/4 a few days ago. BA over .320 now. Rios with his 4th HR and 14 RBI and near .300 avg. for the spring. Alexei has cooled off perhaps preparing for his usual slump to start the season. Balta1701
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 10:47 PM) I'd like to know if the changes to his swing are legitimate, or this is just a small sample size/spring training illusion. Either way I'd bet he's traded at some point. If he can become a serviceable RH hitting backup catcher next year, I'd hate to trade him. We actually have a need for that position, and seriously, let's be honest, he's a throw-in at this point.
ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 09:12 AM) If he can become a serviceable RH hitting backup catcher next year, I'd hate to trade him. We actually have a need for that position, and seriously, let's be honest, he's a throw-in at this point. Yes, his potential value to us is far greater than his current value as a trading chip. He still is young enough to become an every day catcher as well. This year obviously is pretty criticial for him if he wants to ever become that though.
