yoyozuna
I am very excited about these first two games and really wondreing if Ozzie will keep the hot hitting line up in tact or are we going to see Brent L. Omar, and Teahan in the infield tomorrow?
chw42
I don't think you sit anybody with the lineup hitting this well. Plus, Monday's an off-day.
GoodAsGould
Im fairly certain we wont see Lillibridge, I could see Vizquel/Teahen making an appearance though.
Marty34
Vizquel should start for Morel. Masterson can be tough on right-handed hitters.

3GamesToLove
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) We better not see that at any point this season. Especially because there is no player named "Teahan" on the Sox roster.
Milkman delivers
Ozzie has to have learned his lesson by now. We can't afford to throw games away, even this early in the season, by putting a lot of the bench guys in all at once. It's fine to scatter guys in during the week, but there should never be more than one (two on occasion) bench guy starting unless there are injuries, we've clinched, or we've been eliminated. You know you will see this. Ozzie likes to rest his regulars especially early in the season so they are fresh later in the season. I'm not saying I agree, I'm just saying that you know he likes to do it and will continue to do it.

If so, he only needs to have one guy start on Tuesday, another on Wednesday, etc.

fathom
I'd be fine with Omar over Morel at 3b.
knightni
Any truth to the rumor that Dunn could start at 1st?
Dick Allen
A lot of guys got some action on Friday. I think he'll keep the line up relatively the same except maybe getting Vizquel some time.
knightni
I don't know if Morel should be benched the day after he makes two errors. It seems counter-intuitive.

It seems counter-intuitive. I think your looking too much into it. Vizquel/Teahen are both better matchups and Morel will be back out there starting on Tuesday. knightni
Oz is a "from the gut" guy. He doesn't go with matchups very often. It's "wait and see", I guess.
joeynach
The over under would usually be 2.5, and the over would typically be a good pick. But its so early I doubt ozzie is giving the regular a day off becuase they "need one" and are "tired". Its like the celtics another old veteran team, they get much more 4th quarters off late in the year than earlier in the year.
Balta1701
Vizquel ought to play 3b, I'd like to see Dunn at 1b. I'd keep AJ at catcher, there's an offday Monday and the Sox get a few lefties in a row later this week.
Wanne
Visquel for Morel...sure. Dunn maybe at first. But I'll be JACKED if Teahen replaces Q in right. I honestly think it's too early to start throwing away games like Milkman said. Let's keep the MO going...
CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Don't mess with success . 1 bench player max.
prochisox
Q is 0/11 vs Masterson, Teahen is .286 in 14 AB's. just saying...
knightni
QUOTE (GO CHI SOX! @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 07:24 PM) Q is 0/11 vs Masterson, Teahen is .286 in 14 AB's. just saying... That's 4 hits. If he got one less hit, he'd be hitting under .220 versus him. Fourteen at bats is a small sample size.

SoxAce
It would be crazy to put in the bench guys 3 games into the season, with an off day on Monday. I wouldn't put it past Ozzie however, but I don't even think he would do that.
southsider2k5
I'd be shocked to not see Castro and at least one or two bench guys starting tomorrow. I could see a Milledge and Vizquel added to the line up.
