dyuen
QUOTE (Tuna @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 08:05 AM) Where did you purchase these tickets? I can't find anything on the site for them... I believe that you can only get them as season tickets. However, they do offer individual games to season ticket holders.
maki
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 04:01 PM) Shameless plug of a favorite neighborhood watering hole: Revolution Brewing Co An email I received from them today: if anyone heads there after the game on Thursday, say hello. I've got the weekday 27game package and we usually head there after the majority of games. We'll be decked out in full Sox gear.
TaylorStSox
My buddy and I were given tickets to Rios' walk off against the Mariners last year. We had a great time. Honestly, the only time I had more fun at a game was for Ventura's walk off GS off of Gossage back in the day. Anyway, we got there about 2 hours before the game, had a few drinks and ate. The food was good. The service wasn't great, but whatever. I think the face value of the tickets was $180 and it would have been well worth it. The seats are great. The experience is great. You eat like a king and drink like a fish. Plus, we got to say "Hi" to Griffey Jr. as we walked to our seats. Be prepared though. IIRC, they do make you pay for drinks after 7th down in the bar. Also, I know it's preference, but the majority of fans weren't tipping the servers. Don't be that guy.
bigruss
I still plan on doing something similar to this someday soon with my dad, just seems like to great of an experience to pass up, and after living away from Chicago for 5 yrs, and the last game I bought tickets for I couldnt go to because I had ACL surgery unexpectedly, I think we deserve to be treated well at a Sox game.
