Rowand44
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) I didn't understand the rationale of giving Butler anything to hit in that situation. You had a lefty on deck and an open base. You're usually not going to put the tying run on base, though the situation really did change when the count went to 3 and 1. Chris got beat by the count, plain and simple.
Steve9347
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 01:30 PM) But instead of discussing this, we should all keep making sarcastic remarks such as: or silly remarks like... QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) I'd be willing to bet that they don't lose as many to them as the Sox do, though.
Milkman delivers
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:15 PM) or silly remarks like... That is based in fact. I'm not completely sure about ture Tigers, but the Twins ALWAYS have a better record against those teams. Silly, my ass.
Kalapse
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 01:13 PM) Read back a page or two, I asked the same question and it was answered. Also: Holliday was cleared yesterday to resume baseball activities after having the procedure on Friday, LaRussa says he could be back this weekend. Texsox
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 11:49 AM) Herb Lawrence Dis Kenny Williams is an idiot. How do you get player like Dunn? He knew that he had an appendix which makes it a 100% more likely to have a appendectomy than a free agent that doesn't have one.

Donny Lucy's Avocado Farm
How is the procedure done? Laser? small incision? Maybe it isn't that big of a deal?? *shrug* EDIT: ok, so it was a small incision... Dunn underwent a laparoscopic procedure that involves only a small cut, and he believed he wouldn't be in too much danger if he played. "If I can tolerate it, I want to play," Dunn said. I can see why he wants to be in the lineup for the home opener, but "fer pete's sake" you just had one of your internal organs removed. Donny Lucy's Avocado Farm
PS - If Adam Dunn misses only one game after having one of his internal organs removed, does this make him the ultimate legendary Sox grinder, thus supplanting Sir AAAron Rowand? iamshack
I never liked Adam Dunn before. Of course, I never knew much about him other than his production on the field. I'm starting to come around though...

whtsoxfan
Credit the guy for his loyalty but that's just crazy. At least let the stitches heal for Chrissake. The bats are hot right now and he's a needed piece to this team for the entire year. Rushing Peavy back wasn't a good idea either.

LittleHurt05
Cowley's Twitter: Dunn said that he must have been on too much pain medicine yesterday cause no way he could play today. Shooting for tomorrow now. Asked about Holliday and him both having the same problem the first week he said, "maybe it's the radiation from Japan."
