I knew having both of them on the team and 6 RP was only a matter of time, just didn't think Milledge would be the one going.

If he can't play the outfield, then he is pretty useless. Of course, it's only two games, but man those were an ugly two games.

Gray will likely be sent back down when JP is up next week.

Simply put, we needed another reliever and Lastings was proving unreliable in the field. Boers and Bernstein mentioned his tenure wouldn't be long here, so who knows if he was in the doghouse for other things.

we certainly needed another bullpen arm (with the state of this pen...we certainly need to carry 12 pitchers, not 11), but its a joke that lillibridge is on this team instead of milledge...so im guessing there was something this guy did that didnt win him favors in the clubhouse

We have to have at least one back up OF who can actually catch the ball. Seeing as Teahen isn't going anywhere, it has to be Milledge. Plus no one else can play CF.

Try 3. In like 6 or 7 chances.

Yeah, he had a couple misplayed balls, DFA HIS ASS! Seriously, if this was true then there would be tons of players DFA'd. It had to be something more along of the lines of him screwing up inside the clubhouse, or Lillibridge holding Kenny's family hostage.

I would think there is probably more to the story. He was pretty brutal in the field, but he's a better hitter than Lillibridge.

Him being "brutal" in 2 games in the field were still better than Teahen has been at any position. It's amazing how much security Teahen has just because of that mother f'n contract.

We have enough hitters. My guess is they want the best defender and they think that is Lillibridge.
