DirtySox
I don't see a 4/10 games thread, but Petricka is mowing them down. So far, 5.0 IP 0 H 9 SO 1 BB http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...kanafx_lwdafx_1
DirtySox
Petricka's final line: 6.0 IP 0 H 1 BB 9 SO I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the system's top prospect this year. Though there really isn't much competition at this point.

Though there really isn't much competition at this point. I agree but I also think we could see a lot of the 2-3 yr guys finally click this year, Petricka included. There's a bunch of upside that could finally bust out.
ChiliIrishHammock24
So Petricka, Reed, and Heidenrich are the high ceiling pitchers to follow this year, right?
danman31
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) So Petricka, Reed, and Heidenrich are the high ceiling pitchers to follow this year, right? Kanny has a solid pitching staff. Petricka, Heidenreich, Arroyo, Upchurch and Buch are all decent to good prospects. Reed came out of the pen today. I can't say I like that, but at least the 5 guys that will be starting have some potential. Knights won game 1 of their doubleheader Dolsi with a strong start. I had him on my watch list last year.

DirtySox
QUOTE (scenario @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) Kanny and Lakewood tied 0-0 in the 15th inning. Blanke finally wins it with a 2 run HR in the 16th.
JPN366
That's three games in a row that the Dash starter only went 4 innings. That has to be on purpose.
flavum
Petricka is almost 23. Might he be too advanced for the Sally League?
bighurt4life
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 05:55 PM) Petricka is almost 23. Might he be too advanced for the Sally League? He was drafted as a big time project, he's got a great arm but no refinement in his pitching so I'm not going to worry too much this season, but if he's not moving up the ladder by next year I'll be concerned. danman31
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 07:55 PM) Petricka is almost 23. Might he be too advanced for the Sally League? First full pro season. No rush with him. Knights won game 2 Barons lost 4-3 Oh yeah and Kanny's 16 inning game was the first of a doubleheader. Game 2 was a 4-1 win. Ozzie Ball
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 08:21 PM) So Petricka, Reed, and Heidenrich are the high ceiling pitchers to follow this year, right? Rienzo would of course be the other name on top of the guys Dan listed.
Ozzie Ball
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 01:55 AM) Petricka is almost 23. Might he be too advanced for the Sally League? Definitely. Most scouts would probably tell you he's a reliever, too.
