fathom
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 02:27 AM) Bullpen needs to be reconstructed. It can be done internally, but are they willing to eat the contracts of Pena and Ohman. Ohman will be ok..not great, but decent, I believe

mcgrad70
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 09:19 PM) I want Rios gone if we're 6 or more games out of it by the trade deadline. The Sox best chance to rid themselves of Rios was during the off-season. He's overrated and way overpaid.

Soxbadger
http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/199/payroll.jpg According to Kalapse's numbers (a man who is better at numbers than myself), Rios gets $12mil next year. In comparison, Peavy gets 17mil, Dunn 14mil and Konerko 12mil I cant imagine that the Sox will have 4 of the top 20 paid players, my guess is there are at least 30 players who are getting paid $13mil or more. Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 09:35 PM) Yeah one of the most talented teams in the AL is a "mess". Where do you get this stuff? The ML team is sufficient for now. But we've got some bad contracts and no organizational depth. A playoff appearance would go a long way in alleviating those issues. But think about that...It's never a good thing when you're future is that predicated on making the playoffs.
