With the Bulls game on tonight this thread will primarily be....

But hopefully we win.

Bulls don't tip off til after 8:30. With the early start time, the Sox game should ending right then.

That's most likely becasue of the tough lefty pitcher going for the Rays-Price

And because of the whole "couple recent days of struggles after coming back from surgery" thing.

Morel looking for his first walk this year still.

Please don't suck.

Curious why this doesn't get mentioned ad nauseum like it did for Viciedo last year.

2 BBs in 104 ABs last year for Viciedo and 0 in 47 ABs for Morel this year yet no one really mentions it.

Morel has more of a history of taking walks, with this year being an abnormality. Viciedo has no such history.

I don't think it's really comparable quite yet. In the minors, Morel walked almost twice as much as Viciedo.

Morel has had 49 plate appearances. Let's see where his OBP is at 150 PA's. I just hope he gets there, because I dread the thought of Mark Teahen playing 3B regularly.

Not very well from what I've seen. And what does that have to do with taking a walk?

Morel has been sub-par defensively so far this season, but I'm going to give him a little bit of a break considering this is probably the first time playing a lot of baseball in this kind of weather. Yes, it's an excuse, but I think he deserves a little bit of a break. He's also shown glimpses of a very good 3B, so I'll cut him slack for rookie miscues.

Because taking a walk is on the offensive side of things, something that Morel doesn't have to excel at to be valuable. The opposite is true for Viciedo.

So 4 errors in 12 games and 0 walks in 47 ABs is valuable?
