oldsox
Does his batting average go to .100 or .200? If he goes 0 for 25, it's .100. If he goes 8 for 25, it's .200.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 24, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) Does his batting average go to .100 or .200? If he goes 0 for 25, it's .100. If he goes 8 for 25, it's .200. Are you saying which does he get to first? I'd have to think .200, as he is likely at his worst right about now. witesoxfan
I think he's likely to go to Arby's. In fact, the entire team should go to Arby's. Because they have good mood food.
jeffro2525
The only thing I've seen Dunn do effectively this year is blow bubbles with his gum...every f***ing popout he trots to first, veers off after the catch, and blows a bubble. gatnom
What's most likely? He hits about 40 home runs with an OPS around 900.

T R U
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 01:01 AM) Man if he pulls that off after this start ... Man really? he has a whole 55 ABs in 15 games.. come on people.. hes gonna get like 500 more ABs this season The guy hits .240-.250 you're gonna have to accept that, the avg is going to be low.. but he hasn't hit less than 38 HR's since 2003 so statistically the odds are he is going to hit anywhere between 35-40 HRs by the time this season is over.. LVSoxFan
I don't understand why we got rid of Thome only to replace him with a much higher-priced version of him. Although Thome didn't seem to strike out this much.

Barring injury, this is one of the biggest certainties in baseball. SoxFan562004
he looked a hell of a lot better tonight, and actually 5-6 games ago D Jackson on the radio said he was about 5-6 games away from getting it back
southsider2k5
Something else that is worth mentioning with Dunn, this is his first time as a DH in his career. There is probably some mental adjustments going on, and then you throw in a surgery. That's tough.
greg775
It was great to see him line a hit to go with two walks. Sox hitting sucked again tonight, though.
witesoxfan
I have no problem saying that Dunn looked great at the plate today. His bat was just a little off, but you can tell that he is seeing the ball really well.

soxrwhite
The most likely is A.J. grounding out to the second baseman.

Texsox
Regardless of results, I always loved watching Frank Thomas at the plate. Dunn drives me nuts with his movements. The bat here, then there, then this and then that. /back to something worthwhile

Dunn is just doing his thing which gets him loose at the plate and maybe helps his timing. He is a bit off right now but coming around. Texsox
I know, it's his ritual, iconic actually at this point, and it drives me nuts. Like I said, no matter the results. Joe Morgan was the same way. I just want to run out and hold the damn bat still. lol
