TitoMB345
So, realistically, we're looking at coming out of this series at 9-17. ~8 under by the end of April. Ouch. But for the sake of positive energy, LET'S WIN THIS s***!

Dick Allen
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) It would make no sense to win 3 of 4. The Yankees feast on teams playing as s***ty as the White Sox. You're right. That's why it will probably happen. BTW, I went back and looked at the Sox record the past 5 seasons vs. AL teams. So its been since they won the WS which includes a 90 win team an 88 win team and a division championship so no one could accuse me of cherry picking. Anyone ripping Bud Selig should take it back, because without interleague play the Sox haven't been good. They are 5 games under .500 vs. AL teams the past 5+ seasons. No, I'm counting this year. 2006-2011. If you don't want to count this year, they are 1 game over, so average. 2006,2007,2008,2009,2010=5 2011=+ 5 years is a pretty good trend, but nice try. Wouldn't the 2007 stats be more relevant, seeing that only 3 members of the 2005 squad remain on the team? Maybe we should go back to 1983 since they were awesome. Besides, he included the 2006 team which won 90 games.

I don't think you needed to exclude interleague play to come up with that point. Even with it, they have averaged 83-84 wins the last 5 years and made the playoffs once. That's average in my book. Not really, I'll throw out 2007, so just 2006,2008,2009 and 2010 and 2011, they are 5 games over .500 vs. AL teams throwing out the one year they were horrible against both the AL and NL. They have been an average AL team since winning the WS but have been fortunate enough to be one of the better interleague teams. In fact, I beleive they may have the best interleague record of all. fathom
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 10:54 PM) Hope Humber is up for the challenge of Yankee stadium and comes out and has the game of his life. Over/under on home runs by Yankees is 2.5. With Humber's poor control and his tendency to hang offspeed pitches, Jeff Gray and Tony Pena are going to get a lot of work tonight. Hopefully our offense ends their hibernation and wins this game.
