fathom
AJP's defense seems to be worse than ever. Can't block a pitch in the dirt to save his life...and we all know he has a gun behind the plate....NOT
fathom
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 11:03 PM) I booed for like 2 min when JP was announced. And this is a s***ty ass crowd for such a beautiful night. Looks to be about 27k
ChiliIrishHammock24
Ugh, that was bad luck on the run. Humber's got tons of movement on his breaking pitch tonight, he just needs to keep it out of the dirt.
jeffro2525
Humber late covering as well...wake the f*** up guys.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) Looks to be about 27k That would be over 5000 more than our average this year.

fathom
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:19 AM) Ugh, that was bad luck on the run. Humber's got tons of movement on his breaking pitch tonight, he just needs to keep it out of the dirt. That pitch was fine...in a strikeout situation, you have to be able to trust your catcher to block a pitcher in the dirt. AJP deserves a ton of blame for last night, but of course, no one cares enough to really bring that up.

Flash Tizzle
QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 06:23 PM) Tillman is throwing puss. No kidding. He's throwing some meat up there. But it doesn't matter with this team.
fathom
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ May 1, 2011 -> 12:26 AM) No kidding. He's throwing some meat up there. But it doesn't matter with this team. The psyche on this team is awful. Konerko and his should shrugs and bat tosses seems defeated already. I'd take this Orioles lineup over the Sox, no question. iamshack
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 06:29 PM) The psyche on this team is awful. Konerko and his should shrugs and bat tosses seems defeated already. I'd take this Orioles lineup over the Sox, no question. I like PK and all, but he and Buehrle have been the defacto team captains since about 2003. It gets to the point where they seem to be the common denominators for the prevailing attitude on the team and these prolonged funks we go through...I don't like to do it, but I start to reach the only conclusion one really could... ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) That pitch was fine...in a strikeout situation, you have to be able to trust your catcher to block a pitcher in the dirt. AJP deserves a ton of blame for last night, but of course, no one cares enough to really bring that up. I didn't mean that pitch in particular, I just mean it seems 90% of the breaking pitches he has thrown are being caught at the ground, and the batters aren't biting. He was spotting it perfectly in that Derrick Lee AB though.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 07:35 PM) He hung nearly every pitch he threw in the 2nd. Nah, he hung like 3 or 4. All of which he got away with. Scott's basehit was a dive over the plate and flick into right.

fathom
In all my years of watching Dunn, I've never seen him hit so many weak pop ups to left field. At least there's some boo birds coming out for Rios, who just gave us another atrocious AB.

fathom
Humber has very little on the mound tonight. Seems to be a common theme lately. He really needs to have better command of his fastball to be a consistent starter.
