Just another part of the awful offense this year just like the team BA and OBP, so waiting for a hit isn't likely either. This is why you need to continue to try different things.

Even a win is hard. Sale needs to go down for a while. I cannot believe the amount of runs in the 9th inning. :gosoxretro:

Beckham's looked much better last two games

Beckham is 3 for 5 in last 2 games and said after yesterday that he felt good.

Hawk does not seem to give a s*** anymore.

Chris Sale really needs to get sent down.

Why are so many people booing?

-- Hawk sounded to me like he had a cold.

-- I agree. Sale needs to be sent down. Definitely.

-- Because the fans are fed up. And snakebit. Sale deserved a full round of boos and I (before this year) was against booing.

The stolen base in the third started the scoring. Guillen will think that is bigger than it actually may have been.

The fact Pierre can not steal a base is killing that aspect of the Sox game.

Sale needs to be sent down to start and regain his confidence they do not need three lefties if Thorton is not closing as Crain is as good as any leftie they have against LHH.

Ohman is also doing a good job.

Mark's ERA is 4.37 maybe he ain't dead yet.

I hope not.

But let's be honest - We won on HRs tonight. 3 of them. 2 with no runners on.

ERA is meaningless if you're trying to evaluate a pitcher. There are better stats to look at, like xFIP and WHIP that remove things like defense helping him out

Look at those and you'll see Buehrle got out of a LOT of jams tonight thanks to his defense (8 hits, 4 walks in 6.2IP = ~1.8 WHIP)

lol

Defense can hurt your WHIP though, when you give teams extra outs, there are bound to be more hits/walks.

Of course we won because of homers. That has been and remains the only way we can win games.

Of course it's worked in the past. It has to work again this year or we're going nowhere.

p.s. Pierre needs to stop trying to steal bases like Rock Raines when he finally realized he was not fast anymore.

We don't need Juan to get thrown out 50 times this season.

Yeah, lol...or you could have watched the game with us and saw he was getting away with his s***ty, bloopy, slow, s*** and called out for it when it was really happening.

Mark was due to have his ERA get lowered a bit. His FIP wasn't nearly as bad as his ERA was before this game, neither was his xFIP.

And you can interpret this from the boxscore too, since he didn't give up many XBHs or HRs.

If you say so.

Thanks. It can also be interpreted from watching the game. I saw Pierre's catch live; saved 2 runs. Stopped a potential rally.

Guess he was due as well.

*Edit - Thanks for confirming.
